While inciting violence is against the server rules, that applies to inciting violence against individuals on the fedi.

Calls to "smash the patriarchy" or punch a nazi, or send billionaires to the guillotines doesn't count.

Not on this server.

The 1st amendment protects their rights to say whatever stupid, hateful shit they can think of.

It does not protect them from potential consequences.

Ummm the constitution absolutely does protect you from getting punched in the face for being a biggot, but thats another matter...

Punching up means "attack the more fortunate"... if it meant "attack assholes" then I dont really mind, go right ahead, at least figuratively, and in some cases even physically when justified.

I just wanted to clarify that Nazis will get punched in the face around me.

One of my parents was a child in Germany during WW2. I know better than most what Nazi's actually stood for and that's. not. happening. again.

If someone is literally trying to mass exterminate minorities (a Nazi) then by all means, punch away. Thats just self defense.
