@freemo Ours do it simpler by using a keypad instead of having to learn arcane quantum physics.

But no, but in order to leave the hallway where said elevator is in, you'd need to type in a code on those keypads on certain floors (the bottom ones usually). A bit easier that way. It was a home for dementing elderly in this case. Works pretty well.

@trinsec Too complicated. We just leave our elderly to die, much easier and cost effective.

@admitsWrongIfProven They sure do, and good point, if a sighted person with instructions cant figure this out I can only imagine how hard it would be for the blind.

@trinsec had the closest reasonable guess I heard of, its meant to be confusing to keep senile people in or something. But if thats the case its a really stupid design as even senile people can be lucid and this only works because **no one** can understand it;

@freemo I must admit... i did see this before, and the thought is not my own. But i think it is worthy of being carried on.
Whenever there is stupid tech made to the specification of someone that sees themselves as a "boss", think what it means to blind, deaf or otherwise disadvantaged people.

We might have some time until it hits us, but this decline is happening, and it will hit.

@freemo Oh, btw, did you catch that thing about r/blind? They put out a notice that blind people cannot moderate r/blind anymore... because the reddit app has bugs now since they "fixed" some stuff.
