I will give ONE thing to George Takei, or at least his media team: they actually continue to (cross)post to Mastodon, they didn't abandon it after a week, a month, three months.

@Moon I mean he has actively responded and had conversations with people, including me... It appears to be him speaking.
I wouldnt be surprised if a media team suggested jokes to him which he may have picked and shared here. But I still suspect it is mostly him doing the posting and interacting.
@freemo he may, I won't say he isn't, in particular if you've interacted with him more than me you have a better idea.

But his interactions feel real... I feel like if he used a team he would be more chatty. But he responds like I'd expect a famous person to respond... as if they are short on time but dont want to be rude.
wrt media team, in the past he had at least four people writing jokes for him if not other content.
