While delaying may not be moral, it is actually a move that is strategically sound... he delays long enough to win the election he can no longer be persued in court until his presidency is over. So yea it makes a lot of sense wrt his best interests.
Actually if he is found guilty before he wins I am pretty sure he would have to serve his sentance... not too sure.. I mean maybe he can pardon himself? I know they cant try a president, but not sure that is the same as saying one who was found guilty before being elected cant be put in prison... i dunno
@DrewKadel @freemo @Teri_Kanefield I'm pretty sure you can't dissolve something that never existed...
@weatherprince @freemo @Teri_Kanefield True, but the illusion of it will also dissolve as the court orders money to be coughed up for fines, etc - when it's gone, there's an announcement he's down to zero.
@freemo @Teri_Kanefield That's surely his strategy, but the problem is that he goes to trial in the Spring. If he succeeds in delay it will be in the Summer. He's still hoping, I guess that he won't have to serve his sentence if he wins. But that's a longshot bet for someone whose fortune is dissolving right now in New York courts.
