Trying out a chin curtain style beard... not sure how i feel about it though...
@freemo try it for awhile and see. It’s the only real way to know. :)
@BigMcLargeHuge its the only option that doesnt annoy me. So thats a good start. A full beard i find itchy and uncomfortable so i choose this style more for comfort than looks
@BigMcLargeHuge scratchy is an understatement for me.. its just a mental thing.. if i had a full beard id rip it off in frustration just having it there at all... for some reason i only am annoyed when the hair is around my mouth... particularly if i can reach it with my tongue (I know weird).... so this is a compromise for me.
The hair around your mouth is a completely valid point.
I trim that space so there is an outline around my mouth with no hair. It is a bit fiddly though.
@BigMcLargeHuge if its shorter i can deal with it... but shaving it off is just where im going now.

I started my beard about 3-4 years ago. I also had issues with it being scratchy. My solution was 4mm trimmer setting.
The shorter hair doesn't itch at all, only takes a few mins every other day to keep trimmed and I really didn't want hair much longer than that on my face.
Like all things, YMMV.
