The Case for Domesticated Ants:
Domesticated bees are useful. They pollinate crops & produce honey. But, what could domesticated ants do?
Ants are stronger than bees & come in a wide range of sizes. They can be kept healthy on an inexpensive a diet of feeder insects & plant sugars. Ants are fastidious & pay attention to details. 1/
@futurebird Man the bite from that beast has to be brutal!
Arent ants already domesticated in a few obscure cultures? I seem to recall the honey pot ants being domesticated somewhere once....
Many people eat them, but I can't recall anyone actively raising them.
@futurebird Ant colonies are a very popular hobby int he USA where people raise ants.
I dont know of anyone who raises them for a purpose like eating or harvesting in the USA... but I guess you could call ant colonies raised indoors to be "domestication"

You could build a computer with them.
Might need some cheese.

I have yet to find a problem that cant be solved with either cheese or a firearm.
