@retrohondajunki Dont think for a second they are going after only rich people... The middle class and poor cheat on their taxes collectively more so than than the rich (this should be obvious when you consider how common working "under the table" is)... They will be getting this money out of everyone, not just the rich.
Not saying thats a bad thing, pay what your owed.
They've already been going after the middle class and poor who can't afford accountants and tax lawyers.
What will change for them?
Well generally no. Their rule in the past has been to not persue people who have less than 500K per year in outstanding taxes. Something that they will likely start persuing if given the man power.
Do you have a link to that? I don't believe that's true at all.
@QueenValhalla @retrohondajunki
No, as far as I know it isnt an official announcement for obvious reasons. But if you know people who work at the IRS they will be happy to confirm, its common knowledge among employees that they are charged with pursuing higher priced tax evasion only.
I do not believe the amount you stated.
Ok.. if it helps I should point out I wasnt clear. I should have said thats the amount of income, not the amount of tax owed.
But yea, feel free to not believe me of course, thats your prerogative.
Gee thanks, man.
You have a problem turning into a massive dick when someone calls you out on being factually incorrect.
Happy to help. Really, truly I am.

Huh? Im sorry. What did I say that dounded like a dick? I appreciate the criticism, if you cant point it out I can try to do better.
A dick says "What who me?"
I didnt say that at all. I apologized and asked for clarity so I can do better.. .thats kinda the opposite of "what who me" its "wow sorry, that wasnt intentional, what made you feel that way so I can improve"
Ahh nevermind, I see you are in fact the asshole and just trying to troll... makes sense, carry on. Hope someone else can entertain you.
