It is December 28 and it's so warm here that people are having beer on a patio at this brewery. This is not right. My first year here, it was -37C on this day. You know, only 47 degrees difference.

While global warming is of course real this year is also an el nino year. So having extremely unusually high temperature is to be expected. Hard to say how much of a factor global warming is on top of that, im sure its a factor too.
@lemongin We are in for quite a few brutal seasons of all sorts of manner over the next decades.. We are already seeing massive ecological change around the world, it will only get worse.
@freemo Yeah! We had so much rain over the summer that we thought we'd turn into a northern rainforest instead of a boreal one. That only lasted a few months, but the overall change is very noticeable. Now instead of flooding, we'll just worry about fires.
@freemo Yeah, hard to say! We're worried about the total lack of snow. The area I live in has had some devastating forest fires over the last 10 years and we need as much snow as we can get. This coming summer might be brutal.
