(me = random example of someone who's not interested in learning how to use a gun and therefore should probably not have to use one until that day comes)

@toiletpaper @freemo I noticed that most cops are way better at staying calm than I am. So, thankfully, I live in a wealthy neighborhood that doesn't require gates or guns.

Whish i knew where you were with calm cops. Ive seen cops on average be much more emotional than your average person.

That said people are getting a bit wackadoo so im not sure the gap is as large as it used to be.

Most of the cops I know who're of the "chill" variety, are retired and hate the government with a passion, or at least are indifferent. Just about every encounter with a cop on the job I've had, has driven home that they are high-school bullies who learned they could get a 6 figure salary to continue those behaviours with impunity.

Im not sure if retired cops are a reflection of the current on-duty cops...

#ACAB is true not because being a cop makes you an asshole, but because a good cop would have to arrest all the other cops and thus would get fired... so if they arent an active cop I wouldnt even count them.
