Gargron has me blocked once i called him out for some shady shit he did.

What is stuxs policy does he silence them instead of suspend?

@Gargron @stux

@frickinLasers Yup, its already fixed in the code ready for the next release, got a bit more to do though.

@frickinLasers Im glad you found a home here... Certainly better than the alternatives, some good people around.

@GeePawHill Dogs wear their emotions on their sleeve, and that tends to strike a cord with most humans.. but like people dogs have different personalities and we will connect with some more than others for sure.

@voidabyss There are plenty of good reasons you might want to ban someone. The issue here is not that im against banning for any reason. the issue is the argument claiming that being able to see bad people will make you a bad person. You can ban a person or server just for being annoying, wasting time, flooding posts, etc.

@freemo Icon theater chain in the US has closed captions. If you want to see the captions you use a device that feeds them to your phone (via BT?). Other members of the audience cannot see your screen. Probably other chains do as well.

I totally forgot about this music video where Weezer got all the early internet celebrities together to be in their video.... my god the memories, back when the internet was an enjoyable place to be.

@GeePawHill Blue has been gone for a decade now.. but I do still mourn her. The song makes me tear up, thank you. The loss of a pet can be just as powerful ass family.

I'm such a nerd.. A dutch friend of mine remarked "One reason the Dutch are so good at english is when you go to the movies we dont have voice overs, we use closed captioning instead"...

I replied "no you don't", and he protested before i pointed out it is literally impossible for a movie theater to show closed captioning because by definition closed captioning implies the viewer has the control to turn it off and on, which you cant do at a theater. He was referring to open captioning :)

Mr. Bojangles is one of my favorite songs. Not only does it have a very rich an interesting African American history, but the lyrics are particularly special to me.

There is a part in the song where he says Bojangles always talks about his dog who he went everywhere with for 15 years and after 20 years since the dog's passing he still grieves. My dog passed several years ago and I always talk about her everywhere I go and keep her picture with me. There will never be a day I dont tell people about my little angel blue :)

@hakologist I am not accusing you of it... but I never claimed to speak for all native americans either.

@admitsWrongIfProven People on the internet are too eager to disagree... I find if you try to listen people agree more often than they realize.

@admitsWrongIfProven the issue you are talking about though isnt "bad people being seen causes bad people"... what you are describing is engineering the information in its totality or near totality. Controlling the narrative, preventing the ability to get accurate information. Thats a different problem but we agree is problematic.
