@trinsec you may be using the term wrong. Lingua Franca is a common language used so people who speak different languages can communicate even though its not a primary language.

Here the highway signs are in thai and english, which makes english the lingua franca.

@trinsec its biggest benefit is my sleep cycle yea. It is, suprisingly, more helpful than sleeping meds.

I technically do have adhd though, i just dont need to medicate for that thankfully, but having it lets me get the script.

I am suprised to see when inarrived in thailand that the Lingua Franca is english. I was under the impression it was mandarin in asian countries

Fair. I suspect the desire to be armed against a slave rebellion is why today the south is a bit more gun happy... but still doesnt explain why the north was so progun as well.

The militia thing was hardly a slave rebellion idea. I mean thr northwas just as well armed and there were concerns about oppressive governemnts. Dont get me wrong slave rebellion was probably a factor too, but it was really a long list of concerns fueling the mentality

Fuck, somehow i just gave myself jet lag in thr opposite direction... i slept pretty much all day and just woke up. Its 2am thailand time and 2200 back where i was living in israel.... worse yet im soooooo hungry and i doubt ill find any food at this hour

@ottocrat oh the uk is certainly a fine place for high speed rail. Im just saying its hard to compare to the need of high speed rail that exists in china thouvh
