Then that is quite concerning.. Can you point me to some links on AI specifically designed for detecting professionalism and any reference to how they dont account for this?

@theothersimo @meredithw @Wolven

So I decided to eat the 100$ I spent ont he monstrum and order a Sig Sauer Julier3 magnifier to replace it... It is twice the cost at 200$ but I found one that is FDE and the color should match. I am also hoping the better quality brand here is going to get me a better eye-box.

My CQC (Close Quarters Combat) AR-15 build is complete! Features I added: * 45 degree angled fore grip * 45 degree angled backup iron sights * Sig...

@freemo They also predate the first land plants by 15-20 million years.

Predate. The first. Land plants.

But nooooooo, those stupid Rockies and Alps get more credit!

@kilroy_was_here hahah i mean the rockies are extraordinary in terms of the animals and views there for sure.. I am still amazed by my experiences there... But historically speaking far less impressive :)

Well few things.

There is a big difference between asking if someone is within the range of professionalism vs asking to make an image more professional. When asking to make an image more professional it will naturally make the image as close to the "average" image as possible, this means making it white.

This isnt the same as the AI thinking white is a requirement for professionalism, as there may very well be outliers that are non-white and still considered professional.

What it boils down to is when changing the image it had no idea that clothing and hairstyles (things we can change) should be prefered over eye color or skin color.. So it didnt bother to prioritize

That said if they were to create an AI specifically designed to check professionalism one would hope it would design in the proper considerations that realize these aspects, it wouldnt be hard to do.

Just found this amazing english-to-latin dictionary that includes all the conjugations and synonyms! Really love it.

The plain plane flew in a plane and didnt stay in its lane, what a pain!

“We notice you are using an ad blocker…”

Yes, and I notice you are using a few dozen trackers. Turn off the trackers and I will look at your ads. Until then, we are at an impass.

@TruthSandwich Regardless we should have it in the realtively near future (month or two).

@TruthSandwich in the vast majority of cases you should see the post.. it just may be that you see the older unedited version on mastodon... usually the post wont disapear like this. It is only doing it here because its a thread and was only edited 5 posts into the thread (not at the root post).

@feld Id need to look into the infrastructure a bit more.. its just a general property of any stateless token.

@TruthSandwich That said when posts are edited they do still show, you just see the older version. In this case I think its broken because the edit is part of a thread.

@TruthSandwich Ideally yes, and I do plan to. Its not a lower priority than implementing the standards and I want to make sure the way mastodon does it isnt likely to change once a standard is formed. Its a very new feature so im giving it a few releases before investing the effort to support the non-standard way. But yea im not opposed to supporting it once its clear it is stable.

@feld Stateless tokens of anykind really. In this case its more of an issue for letsencrypt than you I guess as the thumbprint is your stateless token I think.

@thor Thats a very nordic mentality I find... they arent big travelers compared to other countries.

@feld The issue with stateless tokens is revoking them.. most solutions for it would contradict their stateless nature by requiring some coordination.

Interesting fact of the day:

The Appalachian mountains are extremely old, in fact they formed back when the contents were one big content, pangea. They span both the USA and Europe since they formed when they were one. They predate dinosaurs, humans, and even the very first animal.
