@realcaseyrollins

Which one of those links independently confirmed it outside of Israel as a source... I dont see it.

@realcaseyrollins

Have you noticed the pattern where if a fact originates from Israel you repeat it as fact but when it comes from the Palestine side you dismiss it as invalid?

I mean several third party sources have stated they have no evidence of gaza blocking transport and that this claim has come exclusively from the IDF... yet its still shared as verified... do you have an example of it being verified that I missed, because i am searching now and everyone but israel says its unconfirmed as far as I can see.

@hans

I've certainly never bothered to care what speed my employees can type.

But there is certainly an advantage to typing fast, you get work done faster even if typing isnt the bottleneck as you cant really do other tasks while your tying anyway.

@thewritertype How ya gonna give eachother fish when no one ever bothered to learn how and you are all too "exhausted" to even be bothered to learn from the few people who know how?

Ya know whats exhausting, needing to support people constantly because their too lazy to learn and be self sufficient, because they feel perfectly justified in just taking.

Yea sorry, no, try learning to fish. I am sorry you are exhausted, but so is everyone else, most of all the people who bothered to learn to fish.

@soundwarrior20 If you have the interest in taking a look at my project (A fediverse server for static web sites) feel free... though given the nature as an arbitrary static site generator im not sure it will be terribly relevant except in the situation where someone uses the default styling.

Thank you either way.

@LouisIngenthron I mean that says more about the vatican, as they did have a positive shift when the new pope came in a few years back.

@SteelFolk I suspect most people would be slower transcribing than they would be tying off the cuff.... That said I have always been an exceptional fast typist.

@TruthSandwich This chart makes no sense... "white" isnt an objective thing so it cant be quantified. At worst its something you identify as or not, and as such is arbitrary

@perfect_brains

No, the firmware of the keyboard caclulates the WPM ont he fly, penalizes for errors (use of backspace and delete) and displays the WPM as a chart on the OLED of my keyboard including my maximum WPM over a specified period's average.

@marathon@social.freetalklive.com when I was younger I would have been able to beat the tying world record at the time. I just never bothered to do it.

@marathon@social.freetalklive.com To put it another way... if I choose to use words I know how to spell, and account for errrors, Id still be at 147. The WPM here accounts for errors and deducts for it (when i hit backspace)

@marathon@social.freetalklive.com The errors are deducted. I am counting mistyping as errors, not misspelling because im trying to determine my typing speed accounting for accuracy, not my mastery of spelling. So misspellings that are intentional dont make sense to count.

Obviously if i was trying to be a secretary this would be a bad measure as a secretary needs to know to spell... but since im measuring my ability more from a programmers perspective where spelling is less of an issue I'm ok with this.

@marathon@social.freetalklive.com Yes, Thats the number I get when I intentionally try to avoid mistakes. I dont count spelling errors since they are intentional sinc ei cant spell and not a mistype. but if i mistype then i backspace it and it will adjust the WPM with a penalty.

Love the fact that my new keyboard makes me aware of my typing speed. Apparently on long tests where I have the time to get going my typing speed is 147 WPM. This assumes im not putting in any effort to max out my typing speed, however even if i do i doubt id get it too much higher.

@cyberspice I doubt you personally know any of the liberals I know, so not sure how names would even help.

Who is right or left isnt relative to opinion, it is absolute. Though it is a overloaded term and that may not hold true under some (incorrect imo) definitions.

@ErikUden

Same :) Id rather see a collider have the funding than the military. So plenty of wasted money to go around :)
