We already have that, its called english :) ::ducks::
@darth I wouldnt really know how your culture or language would play into this at all.
Queer doesnt exist, its just a made up word with no meaning or utility.
Trans isnt a sexual orientation so it doesnt belong along side other orientations.
Therefore from now on I think im going to just refer to it as "LGB" which ill use for discussions about orientation. It might make sense to do "LGBP" to include pansexuals/poly people, as that too describes orientation.
Then maybe "TICN" for gender expression (Trans, Intersex, Crossdresser, and Nonbinary).
I think ill just start dropping these in conversations and use each distinctly different. The LGBTQ+ designation never really made much sense.
Then again maybe jsut "non-cis" and "non-straight" might just be more straight forward. But less likely to engage in useful conversation.
@darth Obviously id support moving to metric despite my complains simply because its an easier path to standardization.
@peterdrake If the old guy wanting to bring back trains didnt spend the bulk of his career trying to keep segregation alive I'd likely be all with ya.
I have literally tolerance for people as blatantly racist as he has shown himself to be.
@darth Sure i get that. But we are talking about survival here not preference.
Chances if its within 0 to 100C your not going to die.. outside of that range without proper protection or fluids you very well may.
@darth 60F to maybe 80F is the ideal comfort zone.. but chances are you wont die below 60F :)
"Greedflation" not this conspiracy theory nonsense again.
We knew when we shut down the economy for as long as we did it would destroy the economy, economicsts said as much.
We also knew when Trump engaged in massive QE that it would prevent the short-term economic crash but replace it with massive inflation and long-term harm...
Here we are seeing the exact consequences every expert knew and predicted, and yet despite that people are coming up with all sorts of nonsense to find an excuse that is anything but actually admiting lockdowns cause massive harm.... come on people this one isnt even subtle.
@darth Neither freezing brine or freezing water makes sense as a reason to pick either system. They may be how the system is defined, but not necessarily what we consider in selecting it.
The fact is fareinheight coincides with human expiernce of temperature much better than celsius. F has 0 to 100 and anything outside of that range is more or less lethal to a human without protections and fits nicely within the human range of temp, unlike C which doesnt really align well at all.
Seems like what scientists want to use should be the least of our worries, it should be what is best suited for your average person, and I'd argue that is more so F than C.
@bonifartius yea text highlighting in color is a thing if your into that.
All in all ive been pretty happy with it. I had first gen from this company from many years ago i used right up until today. The only issue i had with the old one was that the battery would drain even when off after a few weeks. But this new one has no issues.
@darth this comparison never made sense to me. Who cares when water freezes, unless your dealing specifically with water that seems like a horrible way to measure temperature for a human. As for the date scale.. the us males the most sense as it starts with the least number of cardinaly (month 12) and progresses in increasing cardinality.
the better argument for metric honestly is order of 10 prefixes, thats really the only solid argument for the metric system as superior, and its a damn good one.
I will just keep using "kilomile" and "centinch" and get the best of both wolds :)
@carnage4life That sounds like a horrible approach.
At this rate id be pretty happy to just cut the EU off from the rest of the internet and call it a day.
Drop in current wouldnt tell you anyway. Yes it varies, but you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between two leds farther away and one led closer in.
If you specifically want to detect it through the main coil you cant do it without changing the design as far as I can think of.
The simplest solution would be to make the individual devices resonant with the main coil but resonant at different frequences. That would give you something uniquely identifiable to potentially key in on.
It is exactly the same thing we have when we charge a phone wireless. It is also how transformers work, and NFC chips get power (like your credit card).
It only works at very short distances or at very low power.
@bonifartius I alredy did one update without an account. So you can definately update without issue. That said it is android 12 so updates will come around, even if they are optional.
This brand has all your usual android apps including a browser and the ability to use anything in android (including access to samba)
I have no specific use for color. Just that i often read technical documents and charts are often in color. so it serves a functional purpose to be able to see the colors and properly read charts in books. Math and other stuff its not so critical i guess and just nice.
If I use it for note taking, which i may not, it has the advantage of being able to draw in multiple colors if I care.
@trinsec Much better, thank you!
Since this is the case, as you state (and more or less I agree it is correcT)... I dont understand your question. Do you not already know the answer to how many? You count the ones that give off light.... I feel like im misunderstanding the question?
@KimPerales
Keep in ind COVID peaks every year right at this time, it is a seasonal disease with significant peaks in winter.
More work would have to be done to compare this peak to past peeks, but this is likely a perfectly normally cyclic pattern that is expected.
That is certainly true, people have killed eachother for plenty of reasons and the Abrahamic religions, or religions more generally, do not have a monopoly on that idea.
No you could in fact use a LED as an element in your rectivfier and then place the current limiting resistor across it.
The issue with that is the diode would only be lit up half the cycle and the energy wasted on the other half of the cycle. The result would be the LED would be half bright and half energy wasted as heat.
That said it would work and the led would be smooth as the frequency is likely high enough not to be evident directly.
