That seems like an aweful lot you are infering without cause from a simple capitalization. Courts are suppose to act on facts, not assumptions.

Being nasty isnt illegal. It is a totally valid reason to dislike the man, not a valid reason, in and of itself, to justify jailing him. Besides there are plenty more legit reasons that could cause him to wind up in jail, best we stick to those IMO.

@black6_ I mean yea, in practice its not really doable in any reasonable way... but with enough money and sterile base materials it should be possible... you would need pure (no bacteria) water and CO2 and a sterile place probably a few chemicals, and it could be done :)
Reminds me of that time NileRed made the most chemically pure cookie ever made, evne the fat was synthasized. He said it was absolutely disgusting.
Yea obviously for the idea to work mineral oil wouldnt work. Interesting mineral oil is mostly safe to eat but your body cant absorb it so its just a laxative. That said chemically you should be able to synthesize proper fat from just water and air.

@bonifartius @black6_ Should be possible to synthesize oil from non-living base components. How you would make sure the atoms themselves never existing as part of life I dunno, but as long as you get it from a non-organic source it should be a fairly safe bet.
@black6_ I was thinking about if its even possible... should be possible in theory, in practice wouldnt be practical. A few miltivitamins and some lab grown protein, carbs, and fat and your good to go :)

@volkris Sure but a judges ruleings need to be in line witht he constitution. They do have power outside the courtroom butnot when the exercise of that power is a violation of 1A.
If a law is what grants the powert to the judiciary then its a violation.
Obviously I do agree with the general consensus here that directly intimidating a witness goes beyond free speech of course. My issue is not with him going to jail for legit threats, in fact I'd **want** that. My issue is that the judge talked about it being legitimate to send him to jail for saying "rot in hell", to me that feels like a violation. Even if we can argue legally it isnt, it should be.

@realcaseyrollins I dunno their motivations. I know judges do this all the time, so to me its an issue that isnt too specific to Trump. The reason it seems worse with trump is he actually tends to violate it.
I do suspect the judges are biased against him just because he is obnoxious and a very hard guy to like. Judges should be better than that, but I suspect that has more to do it than an intentional plot to keep him out of the presidency. I mean, he has a laundry list of reasons to be sent to jail none of which should be him saying "I hope he rots in hell"
