@ligthert It can be fun to learn to solder, and i assure you it gets a lot easier.. but if it is your very first time soldering I wouldnt jump right to a keyboard to be honest... even one made to be easy to solder will be too easy for you to ruin and cost you 100$... practice on cheap throwaway projects first.
There is an element of luck to it as well, I wouldnt say all that.. But short of having some really bad luck that drained your money, then yea, if your working 90 hour weeks for a long time you should be fairly wealthy unless your doing something wrong.
Yea anythign other than a straight keyboard is nice.. I prefer split largely cause the keys are in the same place so muscle memory is better.
Im not sure if retired cops are a reflection of the current on-duty cops...
#ACAB is true not because being a cop makes you an asshole, but because a good cop would have to arrest all the other cops and thus would get fired... so if they arent an active cop I wouldnt even count them.
@jmacc it may not have memorized them individually. My guess would be it has special handling for those and most continuous values specific to a domain.
@selea fair argument.. if your gonna work 90 hour weeks just make sure your investing in YOUR future and not someone elses.
Whish i knew where you were with calm cops. Ive seen cops on average be much more emotional than your average person.
That said people are getting a bit wackadoo so im not sure the gap is as large as it used to be.
@ligthert please do tag me and let me know how you like whatever you end up using.
A recent post made by @freemo and his split keyboard (https://mastodon.nl/@freemo@qoto.org/111377477128629607) triggered me to look into Split mechanical keyboards. I am currently fielding the *takes a deep breath* Kinesis Gaming Freestyle Edge RGB (https://gaming.kinesis-ergo.com/edge/), and it is great for me. Near perfect. But not perfect yet.
So I am wondering if I should work as-is with it, or start a new fun hobby of creating new keyboards that fit my specifications. 🤔
@Paulos_the_fog Mega churches are jsut really fancy homeless shelters for priests :)
@Amikke The density in a room full of people vs a warehouse is probably hugely different. Thought your right the range might work in its favor somewhat.
Very good point!
No it shouldnt, but with people on one side blaming the guns and not mental health issues in the nation, and with the other side refusing to actually provide solutions to the mental health problem as well... well.. we shouldnt expect many results until people stop using dead kids to push their agendas and start trying to prevent dead kids.
@jbburd And you have a good day as well
