@falcennial

Your argument would be like saying "Its perfectly ok to ban books, afterall some books are child pornography books"....

@randahl

@falcennial

What, who said you cant block an account for literal sex trafficking? How is this even remotely related to my statement?

@randahl

@falcennial

Maga wantto make it so you cant access the books they dont like, Dems want to make it so you cant access the social media profiles and posts and other forms of free speech they dont like.

Whether your calling for the censorship of Trump's Twitter account, or Hitler's Mein Kampf your in the wrong. Not because these sources are correct, but because censoring access to words is not the solution it is the problem.

@randahl

@stux The idea could work for souls too, but hey just my idea, this is your baby and im sure it will be cool regardless.

What do you think about this?

Combined melee and magic attacks for a boss to make it a little more badass :blobcatgiggle:

Still gotta work on the sounds though

@stux I always envisioned melee + magick as largely being limited by interference from metal. I always imagined that the process of absorbing energy fromt he world to replensh your mana was insulated by the metal you use, sort of like a faraday cage with a cell phone.

This worked well in my mind because denser heavier metals more apt at protecting better would also insulate raw mana absorption to a greater degree. This creates a natural dynamic where one can mix melee and magick but there is some penalty trying to overlap the two.

@taur10

To put it another way. If 0% of men are steralized and 90% of women, and people are having sex as often as possible on both sides, then 90% of pregnancies are prevented.

If 0% of women are steralized and 90% of men in the same scenario then 0 pregnancies are prevented.

@taur10 Which is exactly why it would make sense to **only** do this on a woman.

If every man in the world had his tubes tied and just one manages to slip through he could impregnate as many women as he can have sex with, producing hundreds of children per month. So you need perfect 100% coverage to be effective.

However a single woman, as you point out, can at most produce one baby every 9 months. So even partial coverage of women would be significantly effective without needing complete coverage.

This is the same reason why in animals the focus is on spaying and not neutering because dollar for dollar, case for case, it is much more effective.

@taur10

No not too extreme at all. This seems reasonable. I assume it works both ways and a woman needs to do the same.

@Hyolobrika Actually now that you post this I do vaguely remember reading about this once.

@Hyolobrika

That phrase has since been adopted as a legitimate statement in computer science where we say "two plus two equals five... for sufficiently large values of 2"

::Pigeon walks by::

Me: Awwww hey little guy, what pretty colorful feathers you have. Hope your happy little fella

Stranger: Ewwww, pigeons are just rats with wings.

Me: I know, right, rats are so adorable too!

@bibliolater Yes, but only if they are orthographic in the sense of being dimensionally compressed :)

@bibliolater No, this is a safe space. Spell checkers are to judgmental.

(while this shouldnt need to be said.... this is a joke)

@rchrd

USA tipping and Dutch tipping arent really comparable. In the netherlands they are paid a fair wage. Obviously tipping helps, but they are paid a living wage, tipping is what it should be for, extra as a thank you for excellent service. It isnt needed to ensure they get fair pay.

That said, if you can afford it it is certainly nice to be generous with people.
