@kjr typically by default an instance will federate with everyone unless they block them... that said federation doesnt actually start happening until someone from one server follows someone from the other server.

@gpowerf They arent hte only one, there are other inclusive directories.. it is however the first one new users tend to see as it is the only "official" one

@kjr As far as I know.. youd have to ask them to confirm.. as long as they dont block us then yes.

@kjr the entire fediverse, other than a small handful of servers that might block us... though the servers that block us have huge block lists usually and block most of the fediverse.

@kjr That is generally my take. I consider him a friend, and someone im hoping to help recover and reacclimate in society again. He is certainly flawed, but he never had a chance to grew up.

The company he made his millions at... I run it now, he continues to play a role, but I literally developed the core IP and am pretty much in charge of the whole company at this point.

@kjr Did you know of the name before I mentioned it? LOL, he is sitting right next to me. I can say, his money is clean and hard earned, though he isnt necessarily the best of people (not a horrible guy). I dont condone the murder he carried out, but in his defense the man rapped and tortured his mother, so I can understand how he might have snapped.

Sheen is a quality of ink where it has a glossy shine to it, and when light reflects off the glossy surface the color of the reflected light is different than the color of the ink itself. It is very special and only a few inks do it and furthermore you need the right paper for it to show.

Attached is an example of sheen, notice the golden color on the word "things".. that color isnt there its a reflection and it goes away as you tilt the paper and shows across the whole text at the right angle.

I also included a different ink with sheen on my name. Both pictures are the same instance just held at different angles so you can see how the sheen changes with angle.

@kjr It represents a significant source of new users for us. Without it we will likely slowly loose users at a faster pace than we can replenish it and after some time cease to exist at all... yes I'd say its important.

@kjr Eugene is the founder of mastodon and the person in control of joinmastodon.org and ultimately the one who delisted us.

The hope is that Eugene will resolve this BEFORE the conflict he has caused has a negative impact. Lets hope he prevents that very result.

@kjr The point is that Eugene has made it clear he doesnt care about the details and isnt willing discuss it.. what he cares about in his own words are "bad optics"... so by posting the facts on twitter where there is a lot of people who are anti-mastodon and thus are likely to spread it and reboost it it means those "bad optics" will ripple out and ultimately put pressure on Eugene to engage or remedy the situation.

It was a last resort effort, but it is almost certainly the best way to get his attention.
