I hate shimmering ink, will just log your pen.. but sheen ink is a whole different beast, love that stuff.

A battery filled with algae is somehow managing to power this computer for months: newscientist.com/article/23195

No-one's quite sure what's going on. Possibly the algae is serving as the medium catalyzing the interaction between the anode and cathode in the battery.

Except research shows the anode isn't degrading, which suggests ...

... the *algae* is producing the electrons.

Some thoughts on this in my blog post here, item 6: clivethompson.medium.com/lavaf

@markwilde I agree, and I think Leo Tolstoy would too, just see his discussion about this in his book: War & Peace

@admitsWrongIfProven It wouldnt be quite as appropriate for me as the server owner to do it. I do encourage you to do it, but only if you feel compelled to.

We have about 20K users so at least 4x over that limit.

@admitsWrongIfProven Added us to joinfediverse at that link... not sure how to get on the other list.

@Axman6

For sure, any excuse to use haskell would be good by me!

Markov chain I wrote in haskell if your curious too: anaconda.org/freemo/markov-cha

@Axman6

For the record there have even been some fairly standard algorithms that I havent ever found.. for example the multibimap... which I had to write myself:

@Axman6

Ive written a few algorithms in haskell partly for the fun partly for the need. But when starting a new project I usually pick the language that will burden me the least.

@keyeoh

@Axman6

For the common stuff youll have no trouble finding libraries.. its the more obscure stuff youll be stuck with.. I cant tell you how many times ive wanted to do a project in haskell but the algorithm of interest simply had no implementation.

@keyeoh

@alecui just checked.. under general -> advanced is a button to delete project.. its still there.

Perhaps you dont have permission on the repo to do that?

@alecui Well we certainly havent changed anything over on git the last few days... are you just trying to delete a git repo? OR remove it from the group and put it back under your personal name?

@alecui I didnt remove any features lately... but what is "remove project" ?

@gpowerf despite the alternatives almost everyone does, thats the problem.
