@freemo @Gargron @trinsec @khird Yep. It seemed more direct in your article though, I was referring to this portion in particular

@freemo @berkes @rbe_expert @Gargron @trinsec @khird
Ironically, this is all brewing up because of the CEO behavior of one of the two apex predators of USAmerican CEOs, Elon Musk:
"Twitter, c'est moi."
The other apex predator CEO is Donald "You're fired!" Trump.

@freemo this is a frustrating situation and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. It's infuriating that the bad actors are having some success. I'm optimistic that their success will be short lived. I'll spread the truth about your instance, I align with your philosophies like enabling subscribing to users without following. Keep up the good work

Eugen Rochko is CEO of Mastodon.
He explicitly writes that
“I will take a listing down if it risks endangering the reputation of Mastodon”
A lot of the problems in our world is attributable to the typical CEO attitude.
In the case of mastodon, Eugen Rochko's attitude is:
"Mastodon, c'est moi."

So by PROVING him wrong with IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE,
you destroy Eugen Rochko's reputation, and because in his mind, he IS mastodon, you endanger not only his reputation, but the reputation of mastodon, and you and your instance MUST be delisted.

@sgryphon the intention is to be popular, supporting them is just the means.

@realcaseyrollins

He didnt openly admit it, or even say it in so many words... A bunch of people who bought the nazi's misinformation petitioned him to remove us from the list, he did, even though he knew they were responding to said nazi's disinformation... he only responded to me in email and refused to respond to anyone else.

His email however made it clear he was responding out of popular demand.

@oligneisti I have taken your suggestion into considerationa nd updated the title to something more appropriate.

After hearing some feedback,a nd wanting to be fair in my representation, I have change the title of the article. It is now:

# Eugen Rochko, CEO of Mastodon, Caves to Nazi's Agenda

I think we can all agree thats a more faithful title.

🎓 Dr. Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱
Sp I wrote a pretty lengthy blog post entitled: Eugen Rochko, CEO of Mastodon, Found to Support Nazi’s Agenda Sadly I wish it was clickbait. You ...

@freemo I appreciate your frustration but framing this as Eugen supporting Nazi's agenda is a dishonest argument. You have legitimate greviences but this clickbait titled defaming post does not further your cause.
With regard to your legitimate greviences, what is your call to action? What do you need from us as admins and users?

@greg Sadly many users have asked him to respond and he has been silent other than an email response to me he refused to discuss.

As best I can tell he knew about this Nazi's plan to defederate and delist us, and when it was working and managed to get people pissed at us Eugen's response was to delist us out of popular demand. In the past he has always defended us when it was popular to do so and we have been on the list for 5 years.. nothing changed except for the events described here. So in my mind he knew the Nazi's agenda, and chose to support it because it was winning.

Keep in mind if he had bothered to even engage in a conversation at a minimum my stance and opinion of him might have been very different, but he didnt even grant us that minimal level of respect and now it has escalated.

AS for what I need from you, I'm not sure. Spread the truth about us to instances that seems to have bought the disinformation I guess. Try to talk to Eugen maybe and see if he will be reasonable... I'm not really sure.

@iron_bug

The connection is pretty straightfoward.. The troll spread disinformation in an attempt to get us delisted and defederated. This worked and caused some people to get angry beleiving the disinformation, Eugene knew about the disinformation and that this misinformation campaign was succeeding and delisted us out of fear of being unpopular as a result.

He knew it was the Nazi's agenda, and appeased it.
