@EubieDrew

Gitlab is ultimately where the vote happens, so it will be the most critical to be involved. Obviousaly you are missing out on some conversation by not being in the matrix, but at least its not where the final decisions take place.

@ufoi

@georgetakei Glad to see you are enjoying yourself.

Best of luck in your endeavors there.

Since I'm trying to phase out tagging everyone individually, as it feels a bit scammy, but everyone asked to be kept in the loop... so here are some alternate "official" ways the conversation should continue:

1) On the official Gitlab repository, which is where all voting and formal discussions will take place

gitlab.com/ufoi/constitution

2) The group found here for mastodon discussions (just tag them instead of everyone): @ufoi

3) On matrix chat. :matrix.org

And of sourse you are all welcome to contact me directly. I am very excited how there is so much talk about it and it hasnt even been released for 24 hours yet!

It was more straightforward than that from what I saw (I was there and witnessed this first hand)... His people called for doxxing and violence, the admin commented on it and review it and decided it was allowed on his timeline. THIS caused the outrage and he got a lot of shit... only after people started blocking him did he decide to remove the post.. but his server has remained radicalized regardless..

To be clear WE dont block them.. they block a **huge** portion of the fediverse and have isolated themselves as many of the extremist servers tend to do.

@frayoshi

Hi, thanks. That makes me happy to hear as those are all things I aspire for in my instance (Well except the English part, we are multi-lingual).

The is a very exciting development and I am really happy to see all the conversation and participation around that (and it hasn't even been a day!). I am really hopeful it will be a force of good in the fediverse and help add some sanity and a counter-force to the fracturing we are currently seeing.

@thibaultamartin @matrix

I wanted an instance
- in
- with reasonable and rule set
- + friendly (even if I am not, but most of my are)
- that did not block other , at most muted but open
- with open minded
- with extended functionalities
- oriented

I ended up with , pretty happy about it!

Have also considered:
- , , , , , , , oriented ones.

At , would also consider their aderation at the ( )

I know for a fact that @freemo might want to participate in the @thibaultamartin @matrix

@werner58

Please everyone, add these opinions to the gitlab.. remember only votes on the gitlab will be counted so the only way to actually get heard is to voice your concerns there.

@jonathonbarton @john @toplesstopics @admitsWrongIfProven

discussion of violence, examples of bad things to say

@roko

Would you mind adding that as an issue on the repository?

@lucifargundam @admitsWrongIfProven

@admitsWrongIfProven I think this is ell thought out.. can you put this thread or some version of it on the gitlab as a discussion, I think it needs a wider audience.

@icedquinn So register an account, their free. Best to get your opinion heard if its an issue for you, it will be taken seriously

@kjr

Thats mild compared to doxxing and calls to violence.. he can federate as he pleases.

@trinsec

@icedquinn Make sure you mention all this on the repo then so it can be taken into consideration when making a decision:

gitlab.com/ufoi/constitution

@icedquinn That is a valid point in general... but instances on the fediverse dont usually have "merchant accounts", they receive donations sometimes but not through any means that makes these sorts of stipulations that I know of.

@trinsec @kjr

scholar.social is a particularly violent server. Their admin specifically approved a user on their server calling people to bomb others as well as doxx them. Effectively calling illegal calls to violence.

As such they block many servers probably because they have had too much trouble with the police at this point. QOTO is among them.

@Romaq Can you at least crete and issue ther eand just copy and paste it in, this way we keep it.

@wooliex By all means leave your feedback on the gitlab in that recard. I'd support a change to the current document that removes the rule regarding commercial content.

@wooliex You can see a live preview of the PDF here: ufoi.gitlab.io/constitution/un

Any edits made will show up in pdf right after their made, so the link to the pdf is always up to date... makes it very easy to read.

You can also compile it locally with one command and nothing needs to be installed (other than docker).
