@herid QOTO was the first non-misskey instance to get it. But it was already an established standard under misskey and now other servers that implemented it also follow their standard.
@herid There is an established standard for QT, QOTO follows it. If mastodon implements it one should hope they follow the already established standard, we shouldnt have to change anything.

Merry Christmas to all of #qoto - still my favorite local timeline merry Christmas to @freemo still my favorite pachyderm admin merry Christmas to whomever sees it and happy Hanukkah for folks that celebrate it (like we do here!) and happy holidays to everyone that’s working front line jobs and happy holidays to those that aren’t working front line jobs but have to work these days anyway ❤️
@illandan You're welcome, and merry christmas to you too.
@mur2501 Yea he is rediculous.. I asked if he wanted to join the UFoI. Explained it to him and showed him the website... somehow thats "lying" and "praying on him...
What he is mad about is all his friends blocked him when he joined, so now he needs to act like I tricked him so they will play with him again.
@mur2501 What thread did you see to instigate this post?
@mur2501 5 years ago when we decided not to defederate at the request of our lgbtq community who would monitor bad-actors for their safety
There is no doubt a lot of ignorance... problem is I've seen just as much ignorance from users that have been here for years.
@TEG Wanting it implemented makes sense, I agree there... What baffles me is all this talk about how to implement it, opt-in, opt-out... the standard is already defined, there isnt much to debate IMO just implement it if you want it.
@thor how do they get presents ont he 24th, when is santa claimed to come?
@TEG It has nothing to do with the size of the servers even... the vast majority of fediverse software supports it out of the box. mastodon vanilla is really the only major exception.
