They dont, and you really arent listening.. how does a rich person use the loophole to save money? If they make 200 million and spend 10 million on charity in orser to save 1 million in taxes all they did was cost themselves 9 million. So it is not a loophole for the rich or the poor, it isnt a loophole for anyone...

@pmonks @MikeBon

In other words it isnt a tax loophole at all since you cant spend money and walk away saving more than you spend. Since it cant be exploited to reduce your overall costs its not a loophole for anyine

@pmonks @MikeBon

Nope.. both those statements still hold true. I was asking for an example where the rich could leverage loopholes to get out of taxes the poor cant. Since you dont save money by making charitable donations this does not satisfy the premise.

@pies @MelodyCooper @zack

Thry do.. do i need to tell you a 10th time why correlation is not causation?

@pmonks @MikeBon

They cant, nor can the rich because it isnt a tax advantage.. spending 100k on charity to save 10k on taxes isnt an advantage to the rich either nor is it a means to save money.

@pmonks @MikeBon

So it says exactly what i thought it says.. as isaid before its not a tax advantage for the rich or anyone since you spend more in giving donations than you get in tax cuts. So neither the rich the poor nor anyone can exploit it to save on taxes, it isnt a net savings.

@pmonks @MikeBon

Read it a fourth time now.. nope it says exactly what i thought it said...

@pmonks @MikeBon

Dont be a passive aggressive ass. If you feel i misinterprited the discussion feel free to speak up. Otherwise lets not go there

@pies @zack @MelodyCooper

Do you understand why the prevelance of only thr **diagnosed** mental illness in a country with horrible mental health access is nonsense?

And yes compared to other rich coubtries the usa is clearly already farther into the red than the mean. So even if you ignore the glaring issue you are still in the wrong

@pies @zack @MelodyCooper

The source you just provided shows the usa as very high in mental illness relative to the rest of the world.. but it also isnt data that is normalizng for lack of access to mental health, so despite being in the red the actual data is undoubtly even worse.

So yes you provided data and it supported us and not you, go figure...

@supernovae@universeodon.com @futurebird

Do you have a source for that, because i never found one and my expiernce suggests thats flat wrong.

The post office like any public service works fine when there arent good private options, as its filling a need thst isnt otherwise anprofitable venture, but needed... that is no longer the case however.

@supernovae@universeodon.com @futurebird

Most americand when thry use the post office expiernce tons ofndelays, lost packages, and poor customer service. Its deemed bad largely because it lacks the market pressures where other delivery services would have to improve their services.

In short it is simply an example of how important free market is in producing services people want to use.

@futurebird i do t think ive ever heard of the post office, or most govt services, explained as communism. Welfare for sure, and communism isnt a good descriptor.

@koyu@koyu.space just figure maybe i can help and tske over maintanence until you are in a better place
