You do realize the world is much bigger than the USA... most of us arent in the USA (I only just arrived int he USA a few days ago and have been away for years)...
We already covered that I dont think people who are truely destitute and poor can.. I said lower-class (lower-middle and up in this case) however and up can... Do you mean to rephrase your question to mean the lower class I referred to?
I am neither sealioning or asking someone to do my research for me. I am engaging in a respectful discussion. A post was made saying gay/trans cant go there. I asked for why you feel that is the case, that is not sealioning nor asking you or anyone to do research.
I am not trolling, nor "profoundly ignorant", not everyone keeps tabs on the day to day happenings in Florida... but congratulations on being rude to someone who is genuinely curious about your opinion, and having a desire to support you in your concerns. Quite the self-defeating approach you have going there.
Yup, happy to look up whats been going there if you dont want to share details and then comment. If the things you said are literally illegal though, then that in and of itself already answers that question. I am simply curious what the penalty is for being gay, any penalty is already wrong enough though.
Not sure what my range-pictures have to do with that? Seems a very odd opening statement.
All those things sound quite concerning. What are the punishments for being gay and teaching a history class? Are they severe (though any punishment is pretty concerning).
The meme i posted doesnt saying anything about **changing** the government. You can use it to control other people just the way it is.
What about florida makes it so exceptionally dangerous for them? Not that I'm disagreeing with you, just wondering what law or whatever this is in reference to.
depends on how you define poor I suppose, for the most destitute who are homeless I'd tend to agree your right.. but for the vast majority of people, even the lower class, this still applies.
@LouisIngenthron Thats fair, I will admit my 0.45 long builds up soot quicker too.. might go a few hundred rounds before it gets caked up. So adjusting it on a per-gun basis makes sense... I still wouldnt personally clean it before the soot becomes noticable.
I do not have a gun in chrome. one has a black finish, the other a nickle titanium finish, and the judge im not sure what finish that has, might just be plain steel.
@LouisIngenthron cleaned and oiled.. but i dont think it would be "caked with soot" if its cleaning was less than 1000 shots ago either.
@jaysonmassey I am and have been trying to be polite and honor your wishes not to debate the gun issue directly, which is why I didnt address that part of the quote. If you actually want me to give you a detailed debate on it here I would be happy to.. either way is fine by me, Im trying to be respectful.
@jaysonmassey I did, and have, many many times both with you and on here.
@jaysonmassey I never said you did. But yo did share the quote, so it should not be surprising people fact check it.
@jaysonmassey Yup,. which still makes about 90%+ of the quote as wrong.
As for people shot by a gun, I have avoided that aspect only because you have gotten upset when I corrected facts on that matter before, but as I have stated many times, the number of people killed by guns is pointless if you dont contrast it with the number of lives saved by guns as well, otherwise you are just making the same sort of argument as anti-vaxxers.
@LouisIngenthron There is probably no harm in cleaning too often.. but with it being non-corrosive Id say the factor should be the qty of buildup, not how long it might sit.. The approach im going to adopt is to clean it every 1000 rounds, regardless of the time between shootings.
@jaysonmassey 52% of mass shooters are white, 17 % are black. Likewise whites are 57.8% of the population and blacks are 12.1% of the population.
The narrative that whites are more often mass shooters is obviously patently false, and in fact if we really are going to break it down by race then the opposite is true, whites are **less** likely to be a mass shooter than other races.

For the most part no arguments.. whether telling random people who never heard from you that your blocking them and moving on is harassment is debatable, but for the moment the mods havent raised it as such an issue (though it has been discussed), so for the moment there is no moderation issue. My point was only that that is the only part that is coming close to a line, everything else (and maybe even that) is well within your rights.
@TruthSandwich I am neither far right now even right. I am left, center with a left lean to be exact.
As for the lack of far right, you'd be surprised, there are tons of them. The thing is they tend to be on troll instances so most of us just block those instances outright and never hear from them. But there is no shortage.
You are welcome to block whoever you want of course, but you dont accomplish anything by blocking them first other than sinking to their level and perpetuating the "block dont talk" mentality they espouse.
If you find it more pleasurable here to block them, by all means, block them. Whatever makes you happy. I dont think its the best for society but if its best for your happiness that is a fine reason to do it. That said me and the mods do have to defend you quite often in reports or complaints because you tend to **announce** to random strangers you never spoke to that you are blocking them, which comes across as harassment, so that would be the only aspect of it I take issue with formally, otherwise your free to block whoever you want.
@LouisIngenthron so apparently I've been doing some checking and modern day gunpowder residue isnt corrosive (except for blackpowder and blackpowder substitutes)... At least as far as I can see the idea that you should clean it after every shooting session is a bit out dated.
My husband had to wait for 6 years to capture this view of #TheNeedles.
Taken as the #moon set at 4.30 am last summer. This shot is only possible a couple of times each year. He almost had it in 2016 but it was slightly too breezy and the telephoto lens couldn't keep in focus.
It causes controversy as some think it's fake, I promise you that it is not. It involved much research, persistence and luck with the weather! It's the cover shot on our 2024 calendar #IsleofWight #photography
