@TruthSandwich As a person who has lived in most major countries and experienced almost every govt of the world I can say... most americans are pretty damn ignorant its true, everywhere I visit people recognized that and it is obvious.
I do not accept donations on QOTO. 100% of costs are donated by me (some initially and some I continue to add in)... it costs us about 1000$ a month to run QOTO services out of my pocket.
I am happy to do it.
I doubt your interaction had too much to do with it... he blocks and gets mad at anyone with a different opinion to his own, no matter how polite you are.
I think you are, in fact, a liberal who treats people fairly... I just dont think you and your view of a liberal is the only valid definition of who is a liberal and who is not."
> I believe that liberals are much kinder people than Republicans who are far right.
Sure this is true, but only because your comparing all liberals to only the most far-right conservatives...
The reverse is true too "conservatives are much kinder people than Democrats who are far left"
when we talk about conservatives as a whole compared against just the far-left side of the left, then the conservatives are the kinder of those two as well...
If we compare all republicans and all democrats.. you get a lot of difference in how each side is vile, but both sides, in aggregate, are vile.
You can make a request for me or any moderator to not reach out to you except for server business, and that will be honored. So while it is true, you cant block moderators you can ask us to disengage. perminantly.
Of course the flip side of that is you wouldnt be allowed to comment on moderator posts except for server business as well. Its a two way street. Violating that would be harassment at that point since disengagement was requested.
If you want to make that request in general (not just on this thread) just speak up.
They are very left, but not liberal.. they kinda bastardized the word.. though it is what people think of when they mean liberal in the modern era, even though it has little resemblance to the classical term.
Most of us call it "neoliberal" or new liberal, though some may use that in a more narrow scope than "non-classically liberal".. depends who you ask.
Dems love to confuse words so they can win on semantic arguments rather than morals.
I just watched a video on the border... Sadly it was kinda biased towards stronger borders, and I didnt like the bias. But there is one fair point... people who jump the border push back the delays towards people doing it through the legal system from outside the legal way. So the more we allow them to jump the border the more it hurts those trying to immigrate in from poverty.
That said, the other side (which the videodidnt touch on) is that we dont really give good access to people through legal means (in part because of what I mentioned above, but thats not all the problem)..
So while I would support a secure border I would only do so if we also make an effort to make access to getting here much easier.
Happy Birthday to him!
@TruthSandwich
It is a bad thing when both parties only talk the talking points and not solutions.
I see you continue to post bad takes... Just a reminder FPtP voting has been the norm in the USA for its existance... Third parties have managed to become cominated parties 8 times in our history (though not in recent history)
FPtP only gives the illusion of a two party system where support for third parties will be masked with 1% or 2% votes until they get a majority support and then their votes will flip from 1 or 2% one year to 50%+ the next (what has happened in the 8 historic examples).
@realcaseyrollins I might have a reason to start watching him again... early on he was pretty good then he got way too cringe.... now he is offering me something again :)
@admin Very nice design detail! PRobably feels nice too witht hat design.
Yea dictionaries are usually better as wikipedia isnt trying to define a word, its trying to explain its history, which are slightly different things.
