No it didnt, because you didnt ask that.. you asked what the difference is between the "larger" and "local" government. Thats what I answered, one is contained int he other. and the larger encompassing the smaller by aggregate.
If you want to know why local-first is better than national first I'd be happy to answer that too (though im off to bed now). Just be sure to ask it next time (feel free to ask it tomorrow if you'd like to continue)
Why would you assume its an "american culture".. when america isnt even my dominate culture?
Moreover, I really dont care what culture an idea comes from. So long as it is objectively argued for as right or wrong I really couldnt care less which culture the idea originates from. Taking away someones rights due to what they do with their own body is **objectively** wrong.. culture wont get you a pass on that.
Any government which contains the other.
In the USA country government is the lowest level, then there is state level which includes the counties, then there is national level that control the states.
Each of these are examples of local level governments encapsulated by a bigger one.
Random person: Hey bob told me you were a programmer?
::sensing someone about to ask me to code something for free::
Me: You mean pragrammer? Yea!
Them: A what?
Me: Me a pragrammer, Its short for Pragmatic Rammer. Its a group of farmers who get together to talk about pragmatic approaches to ram farming.
Them: But you live in the city
Me: Yea its more of side interest than a main thing. Anyway, why do you ask?
Them: Nevermind...
Sure, tons of thins.. Your typical rechargable battery doesnt have any sort of power management, its a raw cell. Since the chemistry is not the same as non-rechargables they have a different nominal voltage. This means many/most rechargable batteries wont work in many devices. When they do work their voltage is so low they will drop out before getting anywhere near using full capaicty, which is an issue since they already have far less capacity than a Liion or alkaline.
So there is that, that you cant use them in many things, and when you can loose a big portion of capacity.
These batteries have built in regulators. So they keep their voltage at the nominal voltage for their whole life. This means you get to use most of its capacity, and Liion has much higher capacity than other rechargeable types so that gets you a long long way.
In terms of down side, only one I know of. Because of the battery regulation there are 2 consequences:
1) You usually can no longer use a wall charger, you have to use USB-c
2) Battery level indicators wont work anymore as it shows a full charge right until they die.
There is also the advantage that you no longer need to buy or carry a battery charger.. use these in all your devices and you always have a usb cable on hand.
@jesse I dont have this particular brand, but I have this design in almost all sizes and various brands... I highly recommend.
@noelle Hi. Havent checked in on you in a while. Just wanted to let you know I care and hope your doing well.
@All_bonesJones @mistermonster
Typical... even then I'd wonder if someone bothered to fight it they would get it thrown out. If they do any other charges that resulted directly from that would have to be dropped too.
I suspect if such a law was enacted it would never stand up in court.
I am aware of the symbology.. to equate it to the USA it would be like making gang colors illegal in public spaces... That too would raise huge issues for me.
@AncientGood yea I understaand the why/// cultural doesnt get a pass from me though
Interesting fact of the day, in certain places in Japan Tattoos are illegal, or more accurately, it is illegal to go to those places if you have any tattoos. These include some public beaches, waterparks, and hot springs.
To me it is a huge personal violation to outlaw where a person can go based solely on what they put on their own body.
@LouisIngenthron I use AI to generate most of my logos early on before I get funding
(or even if i know if the idea is worth investing in).
I may need to find a better AI, they tend to be ok and largely just remix existing symbols. But I suspect there is a lot of potential for better AI.
@LouisIngenthron Yea, well I support the war on drugs. I just define drugs as taxes :)
@LouisIngenthron Absolutely.. it does work both ways.. Prior to a decade ago I saw that, at least in the USA, where freedom of speech was a principle almost everyone once supported in priciple.
> The few friends I have who are capable of this get annoyed when I try it. Too many people feel personally attacked when someone challenges their ideas.
Thats part of the problem that has arisen in the last decade or so. There are two classes of people:
1) Those who are idealistically pure either by their fundemental nature, or due to peer pressure (having nuance usually makes you an enemy of both sides)
2) Those whoa re capable and want to have these conversations but who are far too scared to be labeled as an enemy of both sides... These people often are so scared of conflict they get annoyed by the attempt at all
Sadly its one of those problems that is self reinforcing in society.
@TruthSandwich Normally your pretty good but man you can be a hateful biggot too... The fact that youll label everyone as a pro-terrorist sympathizer simply for wanting peace and cease fire is... well.. a disgusting take.
@realcaseyrollins @freemo yeah they are the biggest fish 💪🏽 did you allsoo know no ever seen a whale shark being born
I have done quite a few SCUBA dives and can say even seeing a whale share takes quite a bit of effort... You can do 10 dives and see one maybe once or twice. Even if you see one good luck catching up. They look like they move slow but they are really booking it. Will take all your energy to keep up for even a short time.
Given that, and the fact that Is uspect they give birth too deep to be seen (we only observe them when they come up to feed) that is not particularly surprising.
