Your doc obviously isn't named Dr. House then. Because according to him it's never lupus. 😋
Going to get different antibiotics, or going to try something entirely different now?
@freemo @tsia_ The crank is being used to control the games. The battery is actually quite small at 700mAh, but the screen isn’t backlit (but super-reflective, so it doesn’t look dim) so it saves a lot of power when not in use. With one charge you’ll get up to 8 hours of playtime and 1 week of standby time. Here is an introductionary video about the device, explained by the people behind @playdate themselves: https://yt.koyu.space/watch?v=HdF3CnFvxg4

Just in time I discover https://fedipage.com/, a Hugo based webpage builder with ActivityPub support by @freemo@qoto.org
I am rebuilding now a page in #Hugo, and this tool sounds very interesting! I will definitely give it a try!
"The inspectors concluded they couldn’t investigate because OSHA is banned from enforcing safety laws on farms with fewer than 11 workers unless they have employer-provided housing known as a “temporary labor camp.”
Since 2009, at least 17 workers, most of them immigrants, have died on Wisconsin dairy farms. Twelve of the deaths happened on farms with fewer than 11 workers. OSHA did not inspect eight of those 12, each time citing the small farms exemption."
@LouisIngenthron @freemo Thinking about that aspect, it also requires a wide number of species to become cute by natural selection as a result of human hunting. Which is a relatively recent thing and certainly not at a global scale.
More likely because there are common mammalian ancestors, hence facial morphologies, that kin affinity is lurking in the background. Many cute creatures have also been selectively bred over thousands of years, since their first domestication as useful tools.
@freemo I'd say the genetic disposition would be relevant for the timespan humanity didn't specialize. If most people don't see the transition from animal to meat, i think the effects can easily be ignored, and humans are good at ignoring stuff they don't like and cannot change easily.
So the question would be: did primitive humans find animals cute?
