Older browsers can't see some page / do some modern ticks like WebRTC...
@SuperDicq 1ST WebRTC alternatives?
Audio / Video conferencing / human-contact stuff like WebRTC seems really needed...so I wonder if anyone can list the workarounds or other ways when someone has a running a total happy perfect old browsers but can't WebRTC?
:/
Jitsi maybe has a desktop version but yeah an application might be the answer (outside of bowser)...
suggestions welcome for solutions otherwise

2ND TOO ADVANCED IS ALSO BAIT
Too advanced = 2nd class web-citizens :) But that's technology kinda naturally and kinda not also - naturally we upgrade but less naturally some industries deliberately upgrade JUST to keep people upgrading for the newest carrot/cherry/car which is eventually phased out when it's tired of existing profit maximisation.
3RD FOR WEBSITE / USER BELOW
@SuperDicq
Some older browsers I tested on your site can't see any of your comments (viewed on page:
https://minidisc.tokyo/@SuperDicq) - no comments but can see and show top title parts before the horizontal divide
gives syntax error
ERROR CODE: SOMETHING_HAPPENED
Details (expand arrow)
SyntaxError: invalid property id
(then empty space where the comments would go usually or Firefox show)
Seems your site is scripting or something 'advanced' :)
BUT could be my browser config so regardless try run some old browser on your side as people using old browsers might just be quitting off thinking your site is broken (when it's their browser or your site being too advanced) ...
when I looked at my own reply in my own instance interface ( going to the post link, it loads the comments natively no probs and can click any comment as normal but on your site it would seem you site is doing something 'advanced' :)
I could be wrong so test it yourself with some of those browsers you mentioned.
Usually I just close the browser and happy I'm excluded somewhat but was a good test since we were talking about browsers and compatibility !
(I assumed it's probably my end) and in a way I feel it saves me time browsing another profiles half-randomly :) (but I understand your instance didn't mean to exclude anyone. maybe but needs de-upgrading! )
Writing this across time and space so might seem like it's written patchy - I guess that's normal :) Thanks
@freeschool@qoto.org This website runs Misskey, I don't know what specifically about Misskey makes it so that it does not run in older browsers but I do know that Misskey is quite a complex javascript webapplication.
All the sites that I develop personally I try to make in such a way that it can be viewed in any browser. Like even doing stuff like offering a plainhtml version of the page if the user does have javascript enabled.
