Modern problem: I need a one-off part milled to replace a plastic part that Breville doesn't supply, that has worn out in my coffee grinder; there's a replacement on Shapeways, but putting 3d-printer material in my food is not on. Anyone know who I might be able to send 3D-Printer file who can send me back a milled stainless-steel part?

@mhoye
Do you have a standard / basic jpg pic?... just to get an idea of what part it is and it's complexity,,,

Machine part for cofee machine needs replacing...

@mhoye
If I'm not mistaken it's the 3rd picture exactly (first two show mixed things objects and don't all needs replacing)...

Also what happened with old shape , broke? how / etc....

so if it is that shape (picture attached) then it is interesting for the
- two knobs on top
- rounded rectangle hole
( for screw or spindle thing )
- teeth (which might not be that critical or will eventually work if slightly different or even handmade

I don't know what I can offer - some thoughts that might conjure imagination of your own OR skill of others watching :

- looking for a disc, like a thick washer (even no teeth) might do it for the basic template and then cut your own teeth from that (file, flex-cutter, disc sander etc) even if it's not perfect or just as a test and give it to someone to weld two nipples on it (used for grip to cog I assume).

Ok some thoughts at least until another idea comes...

Oh also if you have a hardware store with a million bits and pieces, take it there... but don't lose the piece :)
