Not to represent yourself with flags or colours... ?
It's almost a good idea not to represent yourself with flags or colours... (maybe) because often it's about the other peoples understanding and meaning of it
(which if you're serious about misconceptions and over-reaction without understanding means that talking or showing flags upfront maybe too fast for the wrong feelings AND excluding somewhat...)
I reserve the right to change this a bit but right now seems very real and if you think of it in terms of 'priority layers' or which way around or what is first layers to show someone... often flags etc are too over-simplified or full of misunderstanding (for others)...
It's tricky as there is my showing of it and perhaps it's unknown how much I like X or what context / exclusions etc and then also how you interpret or recieve these words)
So it's almost like doing it for them more than you (<--- this might cause feelings because yes it's about you and don't give up yourself but in the overall sense of understanding it's about being secure you know and prioritising more the mini-part of everything (which usually cross or have affinity in many ways), so the *sense and logic of all the components* are the prevailing factor more than a flag... which maybe you can reveal when you're a bit more sure
Mini-Example when people have 'rainbow colours' (context is needed like outside or in bedroom etc) but this feels like it could be 100 things (insert you version of rainbow flag here] and well you have to be pretty good in explaining and if this disease (TLDR syndrome) is true then in 2mins covering rainbow will exclude a lot and people tend to take the first few things you say and emotions flood the gates that can't stop the feeling flowing any more!!!! (imagine a tidal wave sometimes)
So it's easy to repel people also by saying things without time or proper understanding like startin with "I'm conscious about many things the have the same roots..." and starting from there...
This also is a bit triggering for me also as I like to be clear but on-going judgement is more welcome than "oh fuck I asked that guy how he is and HE REALLY TOLD ME!" - and I read (trigger) someone going to prison very easily from his flags (so the fault of others again) and perhaps not saying is leaving people to do MORE homework eventually is the winner for individualism (if we all have various levels of love and affinity with things, exclusions, different vocab etc), so if that prevails as it's own unique thing then maybe everyone can be a lot calmer?
If you are taken to be in xyz cult or labelled regularly then it's a consideration depending on how much of a 'teacher' you want to be (passive or more direct),,, because logically also the first things people say is what is listened to or made time for... people exit quick too so expecting that is just actually life today... I say make a meeting if you really want more open talk and force them to sit through it since they chose that workshop!
I know it's hard when representing something trying not speaking on behalf of it all (oh cruel life, thank you kinda!)... and then also not wanting to seemingly evade questions either which needs some very wise words also in order not to over-represent or get into comparisons or vocab too deep and stick to talking from one's self instead of only demanding or directing people without a bit more reasoning or will for it).
SUMMARY:
People who have lived around or experiences cosmopolitan people (or better word) or just generally experienced many more people world-wide know that what you say is is and isn't a problem even with others experienced!. So to say you are pro-XYZ is ok for me as I KNOW there is more to you and even in the worst case wait for the 100 more things.... but for the person even experienced or full of hate / triggers (naturally and man-made) then there is something there my words I feel I have to take care of too... so it's not too exclusive but also not too open for attack and keeps my integrity with someone else).
A nice kind of Judo or those kinda of sports where you don't want to kill the person but let the best balance, strength, technique prevail.... and both enjoy it at the end!
(If you ever did Judo you know what I mean as something almost co-operative... even though maybe not look like it on TV but there is a lot of respect there for the sport of 'conversation' and mind body and soul of the sport!)
Not saying judo is the best just helps to have tried it for a while :)
Advice welcome on any of these parallels...
