@Benhm3
I like this short way of saying it but I'd like to clear something about the energy side of it for myself mainly if it's possible to help me with that:
DISCLAIMER: IT'S ABOUT BITCOIN MORE THAN ANYTHING

So it sounded from your post a bit like there is an expectation to be able to make currency AND cheat the inevitable energy cost of it or perpetuation...
which definitely one can have more cost / energy than the other, as fiat or whatever and printed money / coins and re-minting every so often may win that (or may not as someone is always paying and it's probably all of us) but a lot of the time it's about 'paying for' a kind of security or something away from banks or even this constant 'security' as the cost itself which I admit would be better without but just doesn't happen in life much like death is inevitable... BUT until solutions are there and obvious, we pay one thing or another in many ways whichever way ' we' or govs take us...

So the contrast in short could be to have bank money (totally bad / we know that) or for everyone to pay more electricity towards a freedom currency ( bad in many ways but just assume its doing 1 big thing(s) better in some way more than anything else we've every had or faced + shaken off takedowns / won battles / been resilient / flexible / sovereign as much as possible )

THEN kinda yeah waste in that respect is good as we need what holds integrity and aspects of freedom (not all but a lot of Bitcoin stuff has some essential tied components with it)

Reminder I mean Bitcoin not the other 'shitcoin' type even-more artificial type stuff...
