I would like to forward @mike's great suggestion to the #fedizens of the #fediverse who have a #Wordpress.com account:
👉 Please "reach out to help@wordpress.com and submit a feature request for #ActivityPub support. :)"
🙏 Thank you! :)

@floppy @mike @feditips @joeldebruijn @humanetech Forgive me if this sounds like a stupid question, but what exactly would this do for the WordPress blog? I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for here. (New to federated social media).

Not a stupid question!
It would turn your WordPress blog into a Fediverse server. Your blog would work exactly as before, but with the bonus that people on Mastodon etc would be able to follow your WP account.
To people following from Mastodon, the blog texts would appear as long Mastodon posts, and they could leave a comment by replying to the long post. They could also share it with others on here.
@feditips @techaddressed @floppy @mike @joeldebruijn @humanetech how do the comments work? Would I be able to see them within a self-hosted WP with the AP plugin, or would I need to use a mastodon app to log as in my Wordpress ActivityPub site to interact with any conversation?
@wiredfire @techaddressed @floppy @mike @joeldebruijn @humanetech
As far as I know, they are handled as WP comments within the WP installation?
I don't think you would need a Mastodon app.

For hashtag aesthetics I vote for somethign human readable either:
#WordpressToFediverse
or
#ActivityPubToWordpress
#WP2Fedi is ok too but for people already typing #Wordpress it will give them #WordpressToFediverse as autofill suggestion
