I thought notifications on a few people's posts would help but it's also getting like follows where it's too many and I loose focus or pushes things down and mixes it up in Mastodon... hmm
The "let's talk now thing" is still good at sorting some out things after text gets too long or demotivating and sort out how serious people are about each bit, but preparing text is good (can be long) but reiterating in chat is satifying.

I think continuity in people doing outside work activity is something to be said.. it's different for everyone BUT having a job or something in middle where probably means computer time as test / pleasure time and something pleasing / fun / monotonous even or someone else doing the thinking like in a fun video... but can mean avoiding the grind towards good (can be fun too but peace needs to kept on top of too who you were talking to / who didn't get back to you etc)... so just reflecting most of the day in sun or coming back hot / over-heated means keeping on track goes out window or just not fun...
BUT if I'm in chat soon after some idea or text then everything is mostly ok / manageable / done with less ? marks and less re-reading, re-typing, 1-ways misunderstandings etc which if you measure takes more time (often people say don't have time but do spend a lot of it with less understanding and satisfaction at the end from emails and sms type of misreading things or miswriting them)
So that's probably yeah and realise maybe mind is somewhere else and I mean both as useful...
chat is very responsive while being disposable and sensory in the right way, and text as a general guide to fill in things also and goes far (so both if great)
