"I understand the privacy concerns, but I am worried about starving YouTube."
-unfa (on considering being totally FOSS or not)
"YouTube provides a very expansive service that we, the FOSS community cannot fully replace just yet with a comparable video quality (PeerTube and Odysee both look much worse), reliability (PeerTube instances can and do go down without notice all the time - I had 2 die on me previously), and content diversity (most creators are only on YT, some are on Odysee as well)."
...
"I haven't had anybody complain about me posting vanilla YouTube links, and using the "filtered" sites makes it impossible to interact with the video creators by commenting etc.
I think if someone is concerned about this, they can probably modify the URL themselves, I don't see a need to do this for everyone.
Full disclosure: I am a videomaker myself and I stare at the other side of the coin here."

(The last line says which side of the coin/FOSS someone chooses' even thought I was asking for *adding* non-tracking / not advert links also in addition to the standard youtube links. I wasn't asking for him to totally go FOSS only just encourage it)
