I seem to meet more and more people who wonder what to do with their money. Inheritance or well-paying jobs. 5, maybe 6 figures, I don't ask for details.
Most look around for something 'relatively secure', and go with ETFs.
Seems like a waste. What can I recommend them instead?
Maybe have them check out effective altruism and Give Well.

Is a paradox of sorts it seems or when people are useful / volunteer then yeah humanity (and maybe profits) can start!
Each doctor is worth 30/40 million and judging byt the free/illegal overtime they do I wouldn't be surprised how much the system is really charging or getting in their matrix.
Of course must be some tricky parts there, maybe a little good too... but overall in the long run money does most damage / debt / death....
Anyway more rant coming so maybe stop there.,...
The for-profit hospitals we have and then the 'never having enough' for those services with 'cut backs' somehow is all a con... (greed and greenwashing, or in th case of using hospitals a kind of whitewashing perhaps for the nontransparent backend)
Even staff know little about that but bless them they are eternal helps I think being abused (have to work almost unpaid for few years)...
