haven't been actively following "news" websites in recent years, I get most of my information from here and more corporate social media websites. was just thinking about the random path information must take in order for me to know about it.

@liaizon
ok was just about to hit enter and realised the new post appended!
So I was thinking ditto as a kind of purification of sorts by limiting media sources ( not looking at the mainstream for me also) because of the repetition or extremity people go to to get eyeballs on sites / wanted people to stick to same channel for stats etc... a show basically

and then through these more Masto-channels we funnel or find all that but with a bit more logic or re-interpretted stuff clearing out cobwebs tempted by older styles of media that are like... "wow look at this new xyz" or "take a look... you won't guess their plans they have next and do tell us what you think so we can relay that back to them"

A lot more safe here with less trackers and better tech!

The appended post almost made it seem totally different but thought I'd send my almost-finished post anyway but yes cool to hear...and that area of the world must be even harder to know what to believe or get the right story...

@freeschool yeah I think the filter of what the random people I am following here are talking about is usually pretty broad and I get a large swath of different topics. And then end up going and doing research into specific things after I read something that peaks my interest
