Today is a good day, for 2 reasons.
Reason 1:
I talked about this one a lot more on Twitter. I'll summarize on my mastodon:
Kiwi Farms, a nazi forum dedicated to stalking, doxxing, swatting and ultimately killing trans people and other targets, is no longer online in any viable fashion. A concerted campaign to get their site pulled succeeded yesterday, and today I learned that their backup domain is also inaccessible for most of the world.
Reason 2:
Rick and Morty season 6 airs in 2 hours.
*Two weeks later* Rick and Morty S06E03 was amazing. and Kiwi Farms is still offline, and got hacked, thus losing all credibility, with its users now turning against it. So even if it does come back online now, it will have zero credibility even among fascists.
The result of the hack is that some of those nazis may end up in jail.
Every week, things are getting better. The best Rick and Morty season so far, and it's amazing, and evil nazis can't get it (their forum) up.
Truly a wonderful day.
Bonus, the queen is dead, and the new king has the charisma of a wet sponge in dull dishwater, on a rainy day.
The possibility of an elected senate and president, and the dissolution of the UK as a country (to be renamed, thus: United Republic of Britain) is a greater possibility.
Once all this insanity around the queen's funeral (which is today) wears off, the cult-like devotion people have to the royals will have been reset.
I should clarify once again than today is an *extremely* good day.
@libreleah DISCOURSE BY RUSSELL BRAND ON TOPIC
"Through this discourse we grow together"
" If we communicate clearly, we can create something from this mayhem we can create something beautiful, not necessarily perfect... but better than what we have now for sure."
NOTES:
- Last line also depends on if you're willing to hide reality and let others to run it badly.
Russell Brand is one of the most is on point on my list.

@freeschool yeah but the problem is that russell brand is a cringe lunatic junkie just begging for clout. very intelligent but i don't like his style, and i think he's quite off putting. good video though
we need someone serious to lead the republican movement. though, brand seems to understand the difference between country/state/government
republicanism seeks to reorganise the state into a democracy; elected senate to replace the house of lords and an elected president to replace the monarch
@libreleah
Sounds like you judge him for his past mostly - but I'm glad you see his positive sides a bit...
His past is maybe judgeable yes - but I see this as a positive thing as he's risked and done all the drugs (maybe) and really doesn't want for it for everyone else... he discusses things more honestly than a scared average person not willing to risk any logical change and as a result is better overall.
For people to do something more (even if all 'lunatics' might sound so to you) there is a lot of truth there or reasoning... and though it's a battle to see what it is with 'lunatics' for me Russel Brand has clarity and basic principles (regardless of other stuff which you can take into consideration) but still stands even if you're a bad person.
I even value from his experience as it's more wild that people's normal (and his choice to comes back from it experienced rather than fable-tellers) and he's come across a lot of subject and people in short lifespan...
A straight / overly nice person would let things go bad / never want to call or say bad about anyone.
So it's little a winey or inexperienced for yourself maybe looking at his hair ^_^ lol (without being personally attacking to you but seriously) and then some intellectual stuff after which is also good... but also a bit of a contrast...
so I appreciate it nonetheless
A nicer way to show how I interpreted the reply momentarily was:
"I don't like his history and can't get past that hair, and then I'll jump to writing about republican stuff..."
It's great you say about fighting, as I didn't hear that before from your posts (mostly *only* computer stuff with gab / kiwi stuff lately in between)... do feel free to point me to a few posts or 10
Happy to hear more in the future.
@libreleah hehe
OK that intro was quite religiously welcoming ^^ but I guess he tries a comedic improvisation regularly in the intro's to also gather people together a bit / show unity as individuals etc. Better than not I guess.
And again seems whichever way we look at it we all mostly agree and like for certain things as individuals and we know now more than even what *not* to like and the systematic things are part of that (system = the patterns of mentality)...
But for average person it's simply making our way together through the jungle and seeing the joke about the credibility of authority and what it bases itself on and the waterfall it makes (forces / reinforces) down to others... realising that the respect people give it themselves is mostly emptiness and fear or lack of imagination and ends up with people ignoring and letting other people steal and run away with it!
:) 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ <-- hey that's my energy and money you have their take care of it!
@freeschool it's important to try to realise what people actually cherish, when you see them in droves supporting the royals today
people need something to cheer for. for the republic to take hold, it needs the same reverence to key figures, monuments, times etc
it's definitely possible to rewrite a state. it has happened many times, in the last 100 years. more technically, it is just a bigger change. in reality, no state that existed 100 years ago exists today in the same form (states evolve)
@freeschool i place greater emphasis on the machine of the state, as opposed to government. the government is an arm of the state, steering and influencing it, but the state is very big, compromising the whole of society both physically and culturally (and economically). it is most recognisable when you look at key sectors of economy, military, judiciary, etc... the stuff that matters. culture and tradition, and some cult love for some queen, these are just illusions that maintain a status quo
@libreleah So for this is your outlook generally that it's hard or near impossible for government to get out of state control or re-birth itself as something else or towards something better?
@freeschool the power of the state is what often keeps governments in check, yes. except in the most despotic regimes, the state acts as a guardrail preventing the government from becoming too crazy
@libreleah Any suggests from that?
@freeschool dunno what you mean
@libreleah "the state is what often keeps governments in check, yes." so how to come out of that or improve situation - any suggestions?
@freeschool oh, well i'm a big believer in decentralisation, so i would not want to give any government more power over its citizens
@freeschool more successfully democratic states like switzerland have the state running so tight that the government may aswell not exist (in switzerland, everything is decentralized and they don't even have a president, it's a council of leaders from different districts, and no one person ever has ultimate authority over anything. couping it is basically impossible, and libertarianism is basically the default mode for the whole country. it's amazing, and i wish that existed in the UK)
@libreleah@mas.to @freeschool@qoto.org you need bigger banks and a lot of gold the nazi left there,to be like switzerland.
@Yujiri Yeah I had some feeling of this but as isolated jobs (or individuals thinking in isolation) I can see how people are compartmentalised or just blinkered (like horses with tunnel vision) and nobody really thinks much what others are doing in other department or companies in different buildings (mostly people get pre-occupied with themself and their area ?)
But over the scheme is perhaps 1 thing by design or from top level
(what do you think about this, does it sound similar to what you mean?)
@freeschool in USA, the symbology of the state is the bill of rights, founding fathers, great monuments, specific presidents in history (e.g. abe lincoln, ronald raygun), key noteworthy figures... and they teach kids the value of democracy
in the UK, the line is more blurred, but we have a clear symbol for the state: the monarch, the two houses (lords and commons).. the noteworthy figures in history that you see, printed on the currency
democracy is what matters. the rest of it is just hogwash
