SENTIMENTS NEARER DEATH
WE GET MORE HONEST!
CONTRAST OF OUR HUMAN NATURE
Being sentimental or suddenly full of regret near to death is natural and probably hard to escape.
This post shows a bit about human nature; both as "It's ok to do these things / don't mind" and then nearer death "oh no what have I done / I should have done these really important things" but only when you've lost or losing something NOT before!
QUICK EXAMPLES FIRST:
Example 1.... being honest to self or others, only when you're dying or someone is leaving you.
Example 2... seeing what money is really worth, seeing in the end what's worth it when you can't hold on to it or it's worthless for health!
Example 3... not practising what you preach - not going for it (not enough courage or playing it too safe, maybe not even working on it)
(some of which is perfectly part of everything but some we might never learn part getting out / solving / doing right / taking upon ourselves instead of deflecting / getting out of a paradoxical human thing we spin into crash somehow anyway)
Example 4: 'Charlie Brown' comic strip:
Schulz was asked if, in his final Peanuts strip drawing if Charlie Brown would finally get to kick the football after so many decades (one recurring theme in Peanuts Comic was Charlie Brown's attempts to kick a football while Lucy was holding it, only to have Lucy pull it back at the last moment, causing him to fall on his back).
His response, "Oh, no. Definitely not. I couldn't have Charlie Brown kick that football; that would be a terrible disservice to him after nearly half a century."
BUT DURING HIS DEATH
But in a December 1999 interview, holding back tears, Schulz recounted the moment when he signed his final strip, saying, "All of a sudden I thought, 'You know, that poor, poor kid, he never even got to kick the football. What a dirty trick—he never had a chance to kick the football.'"

SUMMARY
So I think we can learn from this ahead of time.
While we're alive we don't want to give others much thought or be too real or maybe we're too precious over things rather than giving and even receiving freely...
People make silly games or go along with it like making people pay for our own respect 9we should all have ourself) or heroes that have to die or have something happen as part of a humankind as a sort of of click bait or hook to get them to see 'what happens next' as a psychological way to get people to keep reading... or find endearment / weakness etc.
In all fairness the Charlie Brown comic strip is tip of the story iceberg but simple and short enough to see people creating the misfortune designed (there is documentary about Marvel character templates for just this) otherwise possibly it wouldn't work somehow... much like how children like to see you fall or made a sad face when they take things from you and you say 'aww but I didn't get any cake' and the child smiles...
(adults too in more vicious ways)... kind of sick in a human 'normal' way...
Something about the human being makes people want to be high or low- not the middle
1. HERO high
or
2. SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY low
(some of which is perfectly part of everything but some we might never learn part getting out / solving / doing right / taking upon ourselves instead of deflecting / getting out of a paradoxical human thing we spin into crash somehow anyway)
Thought welcome.
