ℹ️ As you probably have heard, Meta (#Facebook, #Instagram, #WhatsApp) wants to join the 
#fediverse with a new project code named #Project92 and possibly named #Threads (https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/8/23754304/instagram-meta-twitter-competitor-threads-activitypub).
There are a lot of worries that it will overtake and pollute the fediverse (incl. Mastodon). There is even a lobby started that wants to coordinate to block Meta en masse. Others say that it's a great opportunity for Mastodon and the fediverse to have more users, content and publicity.
What about todon.eu and todon.nl I hear you ask. I like to poll the todon.* community about what to do with Meta when we have more facts, so when we can make an informed decision.

●not really wanting to try using alternative links to Google YouTube (using Invidious for example)
● not try add more friendly google links at the same time as posting (could be users optionally and automatically done)
● not trying to block scraping by google etc (all posts seem harvested which is not what were here for) and a least a footer or header notice... If not legal notice should state this on behalf of users even as mini-option.
So yecars ago I understood priority or early stand was not so anti... but this was few years ago I asked and got some direct response on the above (not all list and may well be on the menu now as they will COME TAKE IT ALL- especially if EMBEDDED LINKS already link to them and they have it scraped so why not feed Google etc? ***Now*** the devs etc can see why not keep it totally seperate or encourage BETTER PRACTICES or else it will all get you eventually since nobody is learning better.
Just using Mastodon with Google links and making them money IS NOT ENOUGH as the practical world is or ethos I think which IS Mastodon somewhat. I could be wrong and outdated.
