Free Software: "let's build free stuff for each other"

Open Source: "let's attract unpaid volunteers to write code we can extract value from"

Meta joining Fedi: "let's reduce our cost by letting unpaid volunteers deal with the distribution load of a platform our users dominate"

There's a pattern here, folks.

Hoarders can get piles of money,
That is true, hackers, that is true.
But they cannot help their neighbors;
That's not good, hackers, that's not good.

When we have enough free software
At our call, hackers, at our call,
We'll kick out those dirty licenses
Ever more, hackers, ever more.

@pjals @jens Free kinds... maybe morally... but then also bound and even burdened naturally by the same things as the body is more and more imprisoned / restricted but yes mind somewhat free / learning.
Would be interesting a bigyt "intellectually" to understand how why to be X is to be free.
For sure better licences and sharing perhaps answers my question but spiritual / mind work to real enjoy others is real work in many ways... that tech can even come between (not always if you already are for one love / one family etc)

Ah aaaanyway :)
