My spirit is exceedingly troubled this morning by the ongoing wars in our world.
@wfryer I believe the roots of war are from Technology and resources more often than not (greed etc but ties in machines etc and companies doing things for their purposes and their owners foremost no matter what region they are in).
At the same time my pointing to you about your usage of Google / AI etc hasn't got response and I have asked politely.
I see this tendency as what also fuels things (inversely not having answer / ignoring / not addressing / not being responsible by using even if bells and whistle make your work 1000% better / faster)
I'm not accusing you of all the above in not responding even in saying you got my flow, but it's getting to a point that yeah maybe you're ignoring and well this is actually part of everyday war / feelings (without bringing that all on your head but blocking / ignoring brings consequences which even some prefer than sorting politics) so those that care (about war or anything) I think can do better in communication (which has been ACE ♠ in everything else I asked about.
So really if you don't have time just say I LOVE GOOGLE and I'll consider it done and you have chosen your camp (even without hating you, just I can't work with you much). Else say what you're more for and doing about it / what you will change. Especially when educating us / the next generation...
Good stuff to sort out this and reserve the opportunity to re-draft and reword if it can be that much better (my focus is positive here even in pointing to obviously conflicting providers you use).
Also as a bonus from responding you could constructively write your perspective in like a FAQ page or pointer page for the next person who sees you advocate a range of almost non-FOSS stuff and is choosing to work for you / work with you or not. Thanks

I think most of this kind of problem is really the delay, silence, ignoring while obviously you get it and have been on a lot here. It ends up getting piled up much more than the initial especially with fast people (like me, my bad) so saying "no I'm not into thinking to change this or really standing" means people can be rest assured more of your choices... so it doesn't become anything more.
I appreciate you felt something (more than I was actually sending though I'll have another look for myself to asses) other than perhaps testing you politics to say basically what you said which I will state and was not what you said exactly maybe but will help you in writing in future, so in my mind you're practically doing now and saying:
█ "I'm ok with AI,"
█ "I'm ok with using Google"
█ "I don't necessarily announce right now it's bad or a difference to that in the near future needs to be made by a responsible person and person of position as I am with many others I am recommending things to"
█ "I'm ok with sharing Data with 3rd parties / from my viewers / project etc..."
█ "It's not my priority to look at best practices to overall freedoms / what is more Win:Win"
█ and maybe more I said but don't want to seem like I'm harassing - I'm just good at listing and not forgetting.
I'm a bit surprised it hasn't come up earlier in your long years of teaching. Maybe it's been Google all the way and nobody in the FOSS has sad much. But anyway good for others to know better which even this can show without hate. Plenty of paradoxes I expose naturally from exploring... and that's part of solving I hope.
To finish, I also consider I know only the half or quarter of anything so by asking I learn... and yes I think that is below par but you have at least got back to me. As usual fast comebacks about projects or things people want from others but when it's critique, ah well it's something to evolve I think as it's all healthy and even needs to be conquered to become best pals than distancing.

I don't plan on making it longer though naturally paths cross perhaps and yes when you do make a FAQ or decide to make your long-term next-generation-politics clearer then just drop a post on that (and it will helps other read meanwhile when choosing which projects to contribute to) and preferably native text and pics here on the Fediverse rather than elsewhere. To keep the 
going more than other things...

Finally. Just to say I was also thinking good things while waiting and was appreciating, for example, the diversity of things (cooking, bible study etc) so that's worth saying too even if underneath the hood isn't quite right and even measurably with crooked folks.

@freeschool Expectations of response time can vary quite a bit. I'm active on several platforms and I'm not watching all of them constantly.

@freeschool The length of your replies is a little overwhelming & intimidating to me. From what I can understand, you are ethically opposed to the use of AI tools. That is a position I can understand (I think) and respect. But no, that is not my position or opinion at this point. I will consider writing and sharing more about that at some point.
