I'm not a very competitive person, but I would like to make an impression on my nephews when I attend their birthday this Sunday, instead of just ending up in the background.
If possible, I would like to form a bond with them.
I always thought my own uncles and aunts were pretty dull when I was young, and I hope to be something else entirely. Not just that weirdo uncle, but someone respected and valued. Someone they'd want to have a good relationship to as they grow up and become adults.
@amici Such a nice thing to want and probably good for them to receive more attempts because at the same time I knew it was a while before kissing grandmas became my thing after accepting / enjoying them more (easier knowing they would die and were harmless - younger people but not near dea might be harder to trust).
Also the kids I tried on seem to make fun take my attempts as something else needy...

But I tried! And I guess it was needy... as kids / adults don't want to talk basically / use brain.
