What is TL;DR - A Series of Habits

e.g. Lack of self-motivation
e.g. Lack of self-direction
e.g. Not seeing the point / sticking to themself / "I'm OK Jack"
e.g. Not finding interesting points of relativity (between others or subjects)

@raimondaslapinskas
I think this also natural that people won't do or can't see reasons to help save planet until it is literally gone. Many things people don't do early enough follows this line...

It's like a lot of people who on a simple level don't know how to maintain their car or even themselves - so they wait until it literally breaks until they *must* stop everything or have to go to doctor (which is hard in 'busy' design of life or unpaid to care for yourself so also doesn't help)

So it is a main strength and weakness that WE (humanity) will *tolerate* a lot before doing...
and still those that care don't know what to do against scale and machines...
most just 'busy' / unpaid to think about Amazon massively gone or Masai people as the next being pushed out.

So we will tolerate even living in the mud again... and inversely I think it's EXACTLY proportional to how most people wouldn't jump in front of a train to opt -out or end their suffering or get out of the traps of life. We will tolerate it and even get distracted while those that care like me still haven't cracked it.

The default equation of being alive is so extreme (as I see it) it's an ultimatum of

a) staying alive at almost any cost ( soul / body etc )
or
b) killing yourself

In many cities they do daily kill themselves (I assume from occasional announcement) but obviously more people don't like the idea or dying unless it's more pleasant - Some would like to stay alive for some other reasons too like to keep their mum and dad happy but still it's not respecting them as individual or as suffering person / people with lack of choice)

If really you would ask people if they don't mind dying peacefully in their sleep today... I think many would say "fuck it bye" and just sleep / take a pill. Maybe close a few accounts / tie up loose ends and then just go. You wouldn't even notice (nor would I).
You'd get a lot less posts too.

The painful dying (even at cost of morals prostituting your body or ethics) is often too much of an opt-out even if no other options are available. The difference for me is accepting death but making it painful for the opposing team in terms of will-power and not going so fast with the mainstream flow.

On another note about this caring/doing vs. crisis stuff...
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

I think it would help people to die. I read somewhere more people are choosing to go (can pay for it) but could be from many things (but also again we could say that's all cumulative that is humanity has ignorant patterns of life, less real help, and less consent towards individuals than all is meaningless or death but what you do about it is the personal decision).

Happy to hear your view on those main points.

What is TL;DR - A Series of Habits

2 Main Usages:

1- to say text has been ignored because of its length.
(An internet slang)

2- Used to introduce a summary of an online post or news article (like a summary)

- TL;DR or tl;dr - "too long; didn't read"...

Those who care too much have to also realise that when it's too much for others they need to moderate their actions with those who feel it more or act on it more rather than those that care less.

It's pushy and even aggressive-like to alarm others who simply don't care so much or see problems much or can't see it long-term.

For example - My 'cause' (our humanity) is relative to survival and ethics *but still* it can be seen as aggressive by others to care so much even if it's about being cheated out of life / unable to escape traps, not having consent etc... so people need time and hopefully crisis first before reality comes to the foreground.

(Not sure about the last line, but ignoring things and constant parts of reality = crisis... and then after that people can work on it)

How much can we take before we call it rape?

Inspired by lyrics:

"With how much we can take
Before they call it rape
Everything that we create
Seems to get thrown in our face
To make it easier for the race
And harder to escape"

Land on it's own is perfect...

but as soon as someone else is on it then someone else viewing can have some opinion about the land and person...

Human Phenomenon (not sure how else to describe)

@lucifargundam I've had the notifications on your profile and the is too much (could be unlisted post)... so just saying I'll switch off but what you would write more personally interests me (this is my thing as well as your choice of course)

Even the job rejections as it's more personal is ok as personal or progress / non-Hollywood.

Just my view recently I like to say openly - the many nowplaying notifications don't add to much to me... or I've seen most of it before / play things offline.

Maybe once in a while but imagine playlisting tracks we listen to... and getting that via Mastodon :) Just incase you would continue that's my line.

@feditips
Mastodon Search bar?
Eugen [1] will strongly not implement full text search for posts or near future (would be good if we could choose) so back to 'my' suggestion for your posts being searchable since it's priceless help to Mastodon!

(I'm glad it is making progress in some other way)

I would be looking for a search bar (I might have missed it before) and autocomplete from it

(though this might be done via CTRL-F if on one page)

Example site with search
freeschool.0id.org/

I'd like to hear why not a basic self-hosted Wordpress (apart from aesthetics and the choice of pre-Gutenberg V5 or post-V5 versions --> of which I have pre-V5 in my example above)

AND IF there was a Mastodon to Wordpress (I don't think there is) then the reverse of this plugin below would also seems to make sense
wordpress.org/plugins/autopost)

Happy to hear what are the downsides to doing it the Wordpress to Mastodon way and also if there was a 2-way or Sync Thing between them

Also with Wordpress you get so many plugins, you start with search, RSS, sitemap etc)

[1b] github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/594

A search would be good in Mastodon like this example:

A lot of things have no value in STEM.

And failing the above only focuses almost on itself meaning it's relativity and application is without other parts of life involved and so detrimental in making a tool without such questions as:

- "is it really needed?"
- "shouldn't we care with more people involved and ask them also?"
- should this be profited from or so heavily subsidised by those with a bad track record
- Are these values really representing people's views or wants?
- What is the real problem if we already had a solution or Mark 2 jet and now we need more and more faster and faster?

I believe this to be one of the reasons why STEM excels and is appreciated by the government as it's aligned with not caring about doing the people work or equalising planet or people in it (shrug not my government-controlled job).

Profit-orientated and funded (etc) all ties into more profit and skewed stuff... even if they are shiny.

STEM's weakness is there's always another hidden factor or cost that wasn't considered - and this makes a BIG difference to *anything* scaled-up. What STEM misses out is proportionately effecting results (if things / costs are being ignored or have no value)

This makes STEM look better on paper or to those machine-orientated more than the reality or overview. In reality STEM is cutting out a lot of people and cutting corners from of the equations which seems to assume a lot of perfection in saying "we only care about x and y".

@khw
And what's your level of investment or interest...?
I'd like to talk about it personally...
what do you think about talking?

@bonifartius @freemo

agreed... yes more-trusted whitelisting / graylisting even exclusive access etc at least between a few

sounds like a good start (in keeping communication integrity)

@freemo Friends says he gets about 15spam a day... but also I was thinking it's enough to reduce our aim / expectation so we (the more private) could have something that is for authorised people *only* (adding it to an 'auth list' or filter... for those we we know will be contacting us (so for example on Mastodon we could exchange mails,,, so you might have google etc but one the other less 3rd party to switch to AND auth'd email service means after initial contact (google or whichever way) means thereafter more private comms instead of trying to copy google for everything...

so keep google but solve important comms on something exclusive / 99.99% safer than trying to solve it all in one go and be a google. And then after maybe when spam technology is made easier could switch to allowing all - first priority is not letting Google in to private comms / all accounts / people connected to etc etc :]

@freemo My friend who has his own email service setup says most of what would be useful is to look / search for this:

spf dkim dmarc

which gave me these results I'll shortlist:

@khw
Sure, no probs. How about making a time and place comfortable for yourself and talk together?

@khird @peterdrake
Would be great to be able to search other people's posts - even if it would need follower permission from others to avoid being over-used or even an extra permission on top....
People like this could do desperately with search possible on their profile:

@feditips has 100's Mastodon tips as posts but people can't search it so they end up asking him again >_<

And people like me about business and money tricks... they too could just search "money" or other keywords to get the best of my collection...

Also cuts out the crap from profiles (and allows people to understand the rest after they realise there is logic and reasoning to the post count).

Let me know what you think anyway...

Oh yeah I made a post full of Mastodon suggestions but even not for suggestion just other people's software, projects and general profile would be good to search for existing answers and interests etc....
