Most of it you got there.

It's more the unwillingness to allow it to 'defeat' you is the feeling, psychology or inspiration due to being limited by it, so you go about doing what you can and sometimes even more than usual!...

The image of what an angry ape might help go around doing things while frustrated but more as clever human the destroying of the tasks one sets for themself in retaliation and really 'killing' the task off than making a mess. You're normal 'too comfortable' self comparably might mean being lesser in some tasks or too much in the middle and indecisive. The sense of more-real urgency from being ill or even needing something to do. Being ill or limited helps realise that again and isn't too dissimilar to being at war with one's self, the illness or others.

The pain (within various acceptable amounts and for various types of people) gives the state of body and mind a different character for a bit. And you can take advantage of that consciously (rather than stay victim also is an important thing) ... so less tolerance becomes "these things have been left way too long, I'm sick of it"" :) and in your ill phase those feelings are perhaps more likely to have a knock on effect towards doing (like giving them away or leaving it out on your wall for others to take... or actually making something with it.)

Illness shifts the frame of perspective or feeling about what you see (again lying around and what is undone is my example which could be related to not wanting to be disappointed with ones self...)

A kind reverse psychology or testing yourself too I think is in effect here, calling yourself out because you actually might never do it anyway and would feel more disappointed, so to avoid being depressed about you nip it in the bud earlier, like fixing something before it all breaks.

"bugger it, might not turn out the best now, but if not now when?".. and "will I really do it later?"
(basically courage and reality check is what was needed to do it)

And separately a lot of other things can be decided, including considering how others feel better when in different state and what to do about as ideas for others... (being quieter or respecting how others feel after working in a bad job, but not until you get one and are tired / ill / unrelaxed yourself).

I think being too comfortable is similar to discomfort but more in the comfort spectrum where being too comfortable is perhaps naturally not seeing why the need why to do things and falling behind naturally.

Things tend to get sorted based on need and that can be purely mental or purely physical and then many things need the right combination of both. A key if you will. 🔑

but not to risk myself completely all the time) like:

Even while being ill one can consciously say 'ok I'm ill so now is the time to execute those things I said I'd need to do now... (grab the list and do)

- sewing those buttons on my shirt that came off and keep passing by on the chair

-I have make notes for the audio podcast, that in turn I need to send when I'm better to that guy I said I would'.

- (etc)...

A nice chain of things can arise from smaller things achieved which illness tends to allow scope and focus.

I can handle if you like using Google and AI etc but not replying about dangers in your using them in your work-flow / work with others / your practices which shouldn't involve disconnect after being ok to talk initially and with no obvious problem there. So.. Just say how it is!

I am also writing to say I making it clear in this way because frankly people doing this isn't good enough and though it's maybe not personal / direct to me, it is all kinda in the end in some way as so many impersonal things in the world accumulate and add up, so not all your fault at all but you could say *some* more.

So this needs solving (in teaching, in tech etc, in many things) and just saying I never aimed to harass any teacher that doesn't answer(!)... but having a position or claiming to do things right naturally involves a bit of flack and like I suggested make a FAQ page to answer people who ask why you use non-FLOSS stuff... or if I have it wrong just say so (a bit).

I can't even accept 'too busy' at this point as you're too good replying / doing things elsewhere. Totally I can accept "I like Google because xyz and AI as it save me time regardless of danger down the line of giving my data to them" - in short - I'll accept that.

I hope you wouldn't expect anything less than someone trying to sort out why people disconnect in the world and what it's basically and deliberately being politically silent... which in the end does say things or leave others to their own conclusions or wondering why. Not that I'm not trying to make too fast a judgement but obviously you were happy to talk before and suddenly not now 🤔

So that's my respect given to you in saying directly "hey I'm waiting" and not behind your back complaining, as you see from those who don't get a bit of answer obviously in the world already. I wrote to you about BigTech and war without putting all on you but hey you tell me.

You have opportunity to say else you're free to ignore (and happy even to receive that as message).

I reserve re-drafting this especially if I review myself as wrong in some way or can better say it... but thought it better written earlier than never.

@berkough Yes, almost can't blame good people or those designing in good faith or assuming we will make the world more cost-less or freedom-loving...

BUT if you know you're history half-well and lessons learned from history, then it's almost opposite all the time or irresistible as time goes on (even if not explicitly said by antagonists of what they are doing but their actions stand true) and they will take whatever and bastardise / weaponise whatever they can to get what they want like power and money (forgive the dramatic sounding words but just practically I mean). It's another form of war and I think people don't see that...

Can't fault RMS for not thinking about it that far (and I think he did and was thinking but the rest aren't so much) and that basic mechanisation, weaponisation, colder form of whatever you make and invent, *needs* to be countered and protected like an insane form of CreativeCommons.org to enforce share-alike or our own personal licenses to choose where to get money in the right way (from big bad companies but allowing people like me to use it free which even GPL etc might not do or is getting better at doing without loopholes)... Just people themself needto make sure it's not failing into the wrong hands by giving it too fast and easy and them deciding what is right more often... at least not just free to take without education and goodwill somehow.
People are just dumping all the hard work of programmers as top level / big pipes can just switch things up suddenly to something else or incentivise the other stuff into existence rendering other stuff unpopular / leveraging 'idiots' or non-carers.
Walled-garden things or hybridising like you said. Patenting as basic ways to get things into gov hands, Working for government overall as job etc... all these levels.

I know I / we don't have it all here on one page and I / we are leaving gaps between but these basics I think stand for themselves - don't make anything more almost until you solve *this*! Else serve it to the wrong people at the same time and yes they are much faster at doing damage..

Yes AI as well as well. Example is @wfryer who suddenly isn't responding after a good start of asking about things... soon as I mention google usage and AI a bit more I get nothing back- even just to say "I will answer soon". I ask of people if they would respond but people are going to go on the AI train and all sorts for unknown reasons - perhaps money.

I don't want to harass people but they do tend to answer and then suddenly don't for quite simple stuff. You just say if you like google or AI to do stuff faster (including damage to us all and doxing us almost)

Basically anything more by them than us can be seen as a threat - sad not trying to be extreme but if money and banks and gov are aligning (and we're not) and pumping money there is working (it's obvious in that way, for example if they come to #Fediverse) and clear why they all are aligning... for just more of the same... even if early stages we have it good etc with AI... it's always made too easy by the wrong people.

Without some way of literally the author + fans + general population being more together + wary + protective (and involved) it's just another thing to use and lose as the user is taking what they want constantly and dumping the rest and even the 2nd best programs are lost.

Programmers should know that.

It's not far from our food getting worse as we're less part of the ecosystem, this seems exactly the same. (again another jump sorry but perhaps some programmers should consider growing food too as things in programming world can simply be switched off or overwritten ultimately). Most of the things people do for food anyway...

Wasn't until I tried zooming in and enlarging comic that still it wasn't as clear (and opacity of some text is actually faded too unless really close)

█ and almost different font in each bubble.

█ And then for space usage (so more artistic suggestion and future art) I'd make the 1 bubble and it's text bigger so reader can read from far away to get interest while it's zoomed out or as thumbnail in your post.

@berkough I think in part that might be what Alexey is referring to and he is opting to go for one side more than the middle; which is basically in strong favour of the corporate / industrial things ('the opposition team' let's say or the monopoly makers) who now are feeding from both worlds rather than just one - AND not paying anyone unless they really have to from having the almost abundant free labour!

Another example might be like giving Unix / Linux for free, for mass advertising server farms, AND starving ourselves for constructing it for the wrong types of people (though I don't know if that is a good example).

He might be saying, "At least the other way we would get paid, and maybe more control".

+ I think there is another point or another way of saying something there that is about us constructing or contributing anything that now needs more defence / expecting the usual tactics over taking over than just innovation and for advancing tech or for advancing science or anything- because it comes under threat from being uncapped in the wrong hands.

Life might be like running through a fire and hoping to escape the burning building by carefully looking but also just going for it (and hoping to reach the other side)
