'Businesses' (gov) - when it gets in on the game, almost surely they will make a mockery, co-opt/co-adapt it (forcefully merge interests and markets)...

#Bitcoin - I know not much but I *maybe* business-wise once 'businesses' (gov) get in on the game they will potentially make a mockery, coopt it (merge interests) etc as their 'business as usual' template for anything new/ good.

(I digress a bit here with BBS and internet - just look at what happened with the net! I'd take BBS still any day and work from there because arguably internet only became possible because of the money in it otherwise was staying just the same (just for geeks) and growing more organically in that way in more quality / stability perhaps!). People were meeting up and hanging out too on without all the all-you-can-eat crud in between perhaps!

- run a portable copy (is there difference when you run this version?)

- Run on fresh machine or safe mode or using base /generic drivers (seems lots of progs really can put a spanner somewhere and slow everything from graphics to other components in/on the system/sharing etc) so having a test running safe mode can help (or use a family computer to test it !)

- Go back 10/20 versions or previous main revision (e.g. run Thunderbird 50 or 70) which I can confirm is fast... nobody needs the newest version once a product is that good (and you can read the changelog . security updates of course to make sure)

- The latest is still needing feedback (which hasn't happened yet in time so they might have made changes that are yet to be known and new changes not even important). This seems to be happening with Firefox testing things.

@jwildeboer Nope but sometimes it's an avenue to leadership... as in; gaslight > attention and clicks received > becoming more visible > being chosen (by those that profit from it / those who can can use you)

Also in another way the uneducated or 'stupid' followers can make a leader almost by default (!)
Therefore it's is the lack of intelligence responsible as well as a person's or group's 'gas' lighting (or stupidity igniting) because it needs people stupidity/emotions rather than logic in crafting their xyz )

Chess here helps to get out of my task, get beat / learn something and then hope back into commanding my own destiny as best as possible in similar battles.
So chess is but perhaps battle orientated which is often related to things you mention or what we are dealing with, though this was for the mindset and sudden change into something else to inversely comes back more focussed.

@bad_immigrant It's weird how we can like things, like a movie or sport, but when it becomes for real damaging people not so nice.
You can see why people play these games - those adult toys are amazing to watch and damn cool to use and see in action! No wonder people sign up to army!

So it's a wonder in technology but at the same time wrong for it's purpose. Maybe fireworks also a similar type of thing without the machinery and wonder of the machine.

If Government's survive based on profiting from us how could they stop that even if they tried?

If Government's survive and profit from the people's suffering, how could they stop making new ways for suffering and profiting from the wars / supermarket tactics / tax... even if they tried not to?!

If the government changed their heart it's still a hard problem - this is the main point of this text.

Because it would probably mean the end of government's job itself! (no food for those individuals) once all the good work is done and everyone knows what they are doing a lot more / less tricks etc... more more continuously moving goal posts and making so many rules to implement them on us more than their own group.

It's assumed people in government have a job because it keeps them alive just like everyone else (to some basic level for this context) so the problems are also their own dilemma like all of us ! We thinking about this basic equation:

morals / honesty / peace / change
vs.
keeping job / business / profit tactics / same matrix

ANSWER?
So maybe the answer is not to have a job since that is better for decision making... but then how not to have a bunch of slobs even when we with less slave masters? :)

If you were government, how could you stop being bad since more of it is what keep yourself having a job and alive!

Good doesn't pay and solving things ends the profit stream!!
This is good and bad dilemma stuff.

For your own survival it's probably the same just imagine and entertain the idea you're the government and you have changes in heart but it might not be able to change even if it ALMOST everyone wants...! <---- :/ oh no we must solve that perpetuation!

Governments Worldwide or any level of authority perhaps means living using people and resources and then gaming the system / having bias toward one's self./selves/a a group = profit.

So why stop the suffering if it means you will get less money / no food / lose power / be taken over yourself as a slave instead of slave master!

A typical dilemma everywhere.

How can you stop what keeps you alive is the question.

I was going to say dial-up BBS just to get those floppy disk and drives working again! At least for show while the floppy drive keeps trying to read said disk that would never read but on the 6th time and another prey!
That was a pain no?
You see those documentaries with people with a permanent shelf with perfectly boxed floppies with 62 disk for a large program SHEESH! Was f-ing fun loading those chucky friggin floppy decks!

Some ideas to explore (mostly for myself) what I meant from my own usage of language in light of learning in general and the word 'like' being interesting in itself in sentences...

It's also possible others can take something from it :)

Ok the word 'Like' used with another word OFTEN is easily misunderstood in speech and it's really clear to show here - but for fast talking or fast reading isn't always caught so catch it by seeing it !
It can totally can change a whole meaning of debate, argument, a sentence and instead trigger emotions which I hint to below.

Why did that person suddenly get emotional? Ah they didn't hear 'like' probably....

'Like' is similar to putting something in a totally different box of thought, so changes things almost completely (!)

I'm sure you don't need help but for anyone liking food for thought and improvement see if 'Like' in your life has happened in the same way when you had to say to someone "I didn't say it is xyz I said it's LIKE xyz!"
"I didn't say exactly that", "I meant it's LIKE xyz" - so helps everyone at some point I think including just me.

Let us begin...
"Like" in the sentence, especially at the beginning of my sentence means 'Similar to' or 'An action like another thing or situation or happening' ...

(in this case meaning:
'Like sparring but hugging afterwards'

...which translated means or in my way means:
having fun as if it were a pretend fight but not being bad with you and being happy at the end it was clear it wasn't for real or serious (the comment was indicating it was not meant to harm)

IT DOES NOT mean:
- a hug has happened or the total meaning applies (we are not sparring perhaps; we are not fighting, we are not hugging)... and it can be partially that or a gesture of
- it's a virtual (in mind) comparison to something that happens in sports often
- it is not always that which someone is suggesting IF they add like, but it is some part of it which is per-use of language and context (and perhaps as usual helps to say more about it)
- 'Like' before a word can be a partial taking from the next word (like in sports and like in sparring)
- Like can make the next word an unrealistic event or unrealistic happening (especially online), and not that it really happened but there is something similar in that
- Like takes it partially out of of this context but also uses some part of another context
- all cases of like not covered here, more the type that are relevant

So someone can read this but forget the "Like..." part!
I could be wrong and if I am let it be :)

This is all about exploring language and if there is some part anyone can take, take it :)

Inside the 'like' container (like as a virtual container and also part of a sentence) it shows how it's not totally something but partially what is trying to be indicated which can be a non-attacking gesture or clarification.

It could unclear to some people (for example non-sports people) or those that pick some words more than others (hugging)

Overall I often came across this in debate (my own experiences and others) where I / someone else has to repeat "Like! Like! Like! I didn't mean it is xyz but like in this way" because it's clear someone went muh more emotional that intended / needed/

"Like sparring but hugging afterwards" (no hugs are involved)

Online fake fighting or allowing another to joke is a type of friendliness or deliberately fake prowess (ok I'm overwriting here) but what it is it's in good spirit / light heart soon after to show it's not horrible in any way.
