First part... for the reach and interaction maybe it seems like a good idea but not sure how tangible / measurable / worthy it is - on my side - something a bit more concrete than your sentiments (which are good but might be time to move on and even unwanted after 'we got the message' and more your thing)... so priority and measurable worth on my side is in the 1st things first. Do 1st core part then move on and consider what to keep going.

I imagine all of us have this ordering thing inside where we weigh the list and as we are talking we occasionally are rearranging the top 10 values or even own habits to realised "maybe it's my own knee jerk reaction and not know what else to do rather than measurable worth" and "isn't being done maybe over-done too?"

The perceived values are not matching what we think or they change after initial 'youtube is bad' think - no youtube is good for those that want and it's just for you sometimes to get over :)

If you're using it, and Twitter and reasoning like that if you do it more than one way or make a habit like that) then I feel it like it's a leaning tree of return- kinda has to be straight and also NOT needing to use others to justify using bad things. Your reasoning may avoid what as teacher I had to leave alone and come back to later... why because basically THEY KNOW ! They even choose opposite because of you or don't care about youtube and google - REALLY ALL OF IT .... so *mainly* without big drama about it it's something to throttle if you are in control I think people need to see proof others are using it (and not)... not something what looks the same... (I wouldn't be able to tell looking at your profile quickly or in reasonable time)

Again in my head media is hyper now and messages are hyper-speed and 10 people everywhere saying about how bad google is even enough etc... people they know and are not ready or need time - better is focus on you and from that do other things unless you can really measure converting people in this by using the same links as them :)

So solutions are almost always something different and simply *trying* to limit damage or filter or buffer it... never copying it to that level or wanting to mimic it 100%, to expect embeds from youtube in peertube (slaps face)

we have to expect le$$ and want to leave bad people, tech commerce alone and not mix it up (even the most neutral link I think would be a danger with API's etc)... Have to get used to less because it's all political or devils work in what it took to get there / here / everywhere now we know it and have to start almost from scratch or be happy PeerTube even exists :) (again I don't even use that a lot and some gave me a sickening amount of space - just not much technical sense and rewards in things now- best I can do is not use them (or little) and make everything count a bit more than shotgunning things)

Sorry it's a bit long (just my style)
Basically my own logic is that youtube as a thing shouldn't exist IF we are moral or honest or ecological or careful about the chains in methods. A lot we don't see I'm sure you know / can guess what even if coming relative to all this... behind closed doors and just the corporate people in general - they use everything so this paragraph is the kind of 'don't fucking touch it' rule :D
Maybe the if we increase the DIY homegrown ways yes we'll get to something similar but we are never going to want to keep up or be so unhumble in tech and I question everyone's usage (it too easy now and choosing which move and audio had it's value before)- Gotta let it go a bit or be dragged into saving this that might not need!

I'm sure expecting same-same- or better is not going to happen (physically / morally) above a certain limit of success, it's not going to get that level of comfort / preference - it's us who need to accept how we can't use geologically the energy and hardware whatever (sound like a tree hugger!) and then after see what others do. We got to this level of luxury or misdirection and just standing down from that is most of the work -

the acceptance is "now we know" and "we can't lie to ourselves or think promoting it is going to undo it"

So I'm with you for the most part but that 2nd paragraph was a bit of a long shot in expectation even impossibly or paradoxical. Again no drama in this.

And the other point, fair play to be liberal and let people make educated decision but the education IS your side in presentation also....and then for others to then realise from that- like practise what you preach a bit... so I tend to prefer doing it the humblest way on my side *and then* others to learn or even load it up in youtube if they consciously want to the youtube.com link :) So the method is also the education at the same time.

There's a clear representation and divide having one way or another... so you mention force and I'm not sure linking safely does that but by default if it's forcing them from your own morals to use safer ways by force yes to give in that way (and like I said they can always load it up in youtube as countering that)

Fair enough you want to be bridge but also in the process your being xyz'd being there...

People getting cards declined after certain points of interaction so it can be assumed bullies will be bullies and also they team up with other bullies doing deals and / political favours - It's at least aligning us too - we gotta do this eventually.

- I assume they will all be eventually all on one side together (if not already)... and that's what we too need to do without making it too obvious sometimes until it counts

- Plan what to do / have options... 2nd methods / keeping cash somewhere / with others less political / borrowing etc

- also leaving less trails wherever you go (see your bank statement to find out!)...

So I get some logic but mixed messages come from making something else the priority like embeds. I might have it wrong and see the convenience or tech perks but they are catching you back into using it again... and that is half the point of doing it the alternative way in the first place as it's *always* going to be longer or going to be something in some way not the same - that's *why* we do it or want to make sure of it.

Not saying it's a massive thing against you :) but gotta keep the line soldier ! You're breaking it by using youtube.com link / code... :p

Ok so my 2 cents -

I like the firefox link you sent but also I wouldn't assume anything on surfers side.
Simply making link 100% safe <--- is my guarantee we are winning / not leaving traps for others in getting advertised to.

I'm assuming people are not ready / need to be caught / need seeing different to youtube.com links to wonder why and even try it! (so some education and habit changing is there both for you and user... to get indvidous in their browser history links and accepting all-you-can-eat people are always trouble)

Aesthetics, embeds, everything else can take a back seat as we all accept this site is not ours to begin with but great we can use/abuse them back somewhat if we really need to (good to to even abuse it and not normalise it again)

Links can take a longer route by that's also in the learning and saving time (also saves adding plugins too). I personally want to make sure I'm not pushing a click in that direction or looking like I have link to support them to seem it's ok on my profile - can do damage visually or even by accident without plugin.... on Mastodon... or Twitter as copy and pastes... shares... etc

Links also promote Indivious spreading the safe system or link in their browser which is our goal (as well as using YT as a habit less because anyway they will make it locked down more and more in future )

So that's the mixed message from my side. Advise to take the hit and do the long way and accept we can't get the same standard for the all partnerships and all-you-can-eat way tech works in the visibility or convenience and just leave them to themselves.

@abionic It's possible to upload here - you might know it already and have benefits of it accessible elsewhere but at least by my usage I would play your music!! (I don't go to other links much or load more tabs... or even use that service)

So benefits of uploading 1 or 2 to Mastodon
- it will surely get more instant play b/c it's in same browser tab and interface is FAST (no ads or loading much else)
- in this interface it's safer / less USA etc + ads lol!
- can ask people to add a review and their comments directly below it.... nice!
- can ask people just to favourite the post and see how many of us use that button if we like it!

Use this mass of water from your bath for cleaning things... more uses below (like kids playing with the water!).

- wash car, football boots,
- wash clothes, or submerge anything that needs... just rinse after
- use as grey water for other things (especially if you don't use a lot of chemicals... if you do clean things with those chemicals like the car and be humble carrying buckets out)
-Wash dirty plates in the bath (leave them to soak!! Then use rag to wipe sides after and bucket out to plants or drainage outside
- wash the dog if you have
- let kids play with water in bath... give them paper boats and watch them sink (!) and then make new ones, kids like water and lots of it allows safe play standing next to it warm indoors, like mini-pool !

I'm even using left over boiling water for potatoes etc to clean my feet so there's more than one way for you! Again I just rinse after and main thing is using the hotness and warmth of water so I don't have to boil more for what is usually already dirty or can be rinsed again.

Unfortunately for humans it 'seems' it's somewhat the same-same situation in some ways "out of the frying pan(s) and into other fire(s)"... maybe...
(disclaimer: I'm not sure there was any original specific context in replying what seems a bit ambiguous but perfectly ok, so I am talking about being a human refugee wherever you go on this planet and being subjected to whatever everyone just copies or does back-room deal about pretending even to be against each to other (a bit like 2 supermarkets pretending to put offer on and taking turns bumping up prices)- it's all just seemingly moving away from the same mentality... of war and money - some places 'seems' much less (they do it a bit further away) - and just under different kinds of bad government... who are still sucking energy out of people or still uncaring, still mentalities of territories and warlord / warring banners underneath, putting their emblems everywhere clainming land and people (and then peace)... which has evolved the same line only with more improvements to reach perhaps more clever ways in hiding the body (siphoning people but not killing so fast and then letting them die and taking pensions at a well calculated 60 when their useless to them) making it locked in and more the harder to undo or revolt / escape. War in all the advanced ways right and using the tech-trees and business tricks and everything if your government hasn't fallen behind the times.... right from when you choose your food and pay for it to other things that should remain more innocent and less manipulated... cheating and suffering embedded everywhere from workplaces to nature and back...

Considering the mental sides of being trapped even inside the comfort 'zone' I can say for myself it is a bit of a constant nightmare... what to do what to do...
I can't see the enemy too directly apart from company logos as the front and in fact ALL the other people in between are actively working for them (innocently or not) chipping into warlord coffers, paying tax via those sub-business of itself towards our own dooms and further misspending ... you guessed it for more warfare or buildings or arms... for oppression, passive-aggressive pushes, lack of options from 100 rules - that is not comforting and like being trapped...

So from frying pan into the fire is my general remark because I'm not sure who has it better other than fighting something more visibly and not being enslaved... stopping people at least... so maybe I would actually consider staying in Ukraine as everything else is an American dream (just the dream to get you to work) and fighting more physically (or dying) at least it provides some visible resistance (like not leave my house or end things quicker)...

It's not fun for anyone anywhere (anyone conscious that is) and what happens elsewhere is happening also in here (taps side of head) even if it's far away, because it's already here (was here) and just coming around again when nobody else is around to bully. So for these command and conquer games or 'uncivlisation' games locally and externally even for Ukrainians coming to Europe I'd not put them into false sense of comfort to be tagged and u$ed as numbered units so I'm not sure I'm happy for them as a future as numbers on one big government account for their own GDP game stats isn't great. And maybe it isn't true.
Just this mentality is everywhere enough to already be here and stay especially as people pay and not even look to have conversation to get out. 'For my family' they say and the kids aint happy!

(I know I mixed the #war into there at the end but before that also I mean Westerns or kids of this again or similar to that don't feel good for years of seeing and being powerless while also feeding the beast roaming around or supplying weapons and banks lending to both sides benefiting from us... create more debt and a never ending fire of debt connected to energy...

Nobody wants to consistently pay for what's free... it's perfectly logical and part of the ethics too not to pay... for saving... for efficiency... for sharing... for the love more than anything.

But then what to do inside a debt based system / financial realm?... even temporarily
...we have to think of what next / how

^--------This is the trouble I'm having, to avoid thinking about people starving from actually loving what they do and getting deeper into that poorer way (although it makes total sense on the love-for-it basis that you're 'poorer' the more you give and actually with basics the ratio of giving I think could be a lot more if we could assume controlling ourselves a bit not to over-give!)...

NOT RELYING ON DONATIONS is ideal because that is also politically back to square 1 with what we don't like as creators and also why we hesitate to donate as users because

- yeah we're tight, but also we don't like
- corporate providers
- accumulation of power / authority / institutes
- banks/debt,
- power/control/regulation/authority/tracking
- affiliation/being hunted/shut-downs,
- middlemen, taxes / cost to send, etc
- basically no love uncaring people benefiting in the middle who we're usually working against
- Taxes / fees / cost to send
- PAYING FOR THINGS YOU CAN COPY DIGITALLY etc

SO then we have to think:
- what next for people like that, doing things for these types of reasons...?

- And so the uncaring stuff and uncaring people put to one side...

also the other side is

- How to give love back? What are the ways?
( I can love what I do but nobody cares about that probably or even if I'm alive - maybe there are too many contributors to take up people's place to actually value them - and how to offer more than thanks to people about what else they need or love! )

So with the 2 halves above (mainly uncaring people vs love more than money) THE TOTAL = NO MONEY DONATED (both for good and bad reasons)

HOW DO I SEE AN ANSWER?

I'd like to say donate love, but I think most don't know what that is in my book since they are too scared to appreciate people even to say thanks / explore / talk about it.... but yes they are also others giving their work, but also selling their time most of the day (so back almost to square 1 again almost). Giving love for me means totally out of your way or planned time away from banksters in the middle ('non-professionally' giving) and amateur style ('for the love of it' looking at things fresh)

I can see it would be good to pay each other somehow... but any ideas of most perfect way right now more
So I mean not paypal right, any better-money ways

And non-money ways ? Everyone doing what they can and hoping that reduces monetary costs? But doesn't taxing us constantly mean we're always going to be losing / never having enough?

THE SOLUTION?

Donate time to each other, give love how we can...
but I think don't know what that that is (they read giving love as sex probably)... unless you can learn to live and talk to people more actively and give time freely with other people... while other people want you to pay even if it's free / very cheap already (like the earth and even having a lot of money this is still hard to let go of or not be scared about).

If not even willing to talk or give time and props (Proper respect)
it's really a problem (hmm)
And I guess only when it doesn't work people complain more... which makes sense... lack attention and money when it works right!

OVERALL

I see this as a good question about what to do and what next for people, what to do with people who do what they love and don't want to market prostitution / prostituting what they love?
Especially if it's in the digital world want to stay alive ETC. Maybe one big house to stick all these people into? :D

For those who have talked to each other more personally and increase relativity by giving time often to solve this, thanks and let me know!

EXTRA EXTERNAL THINGS ON TOP

External people are also doing 2 main things

- blocking love / blocking free being given
(by making 100 rules what not to do + making things have to be sold / bought, even people's time)

- Making so many rules and regulations that indirectly making ANY other way mean some rule is going to be broken / blocking you

It's similar to not allowing people to do anything but government's ways! And they obvious are not very caring!

Would be good if 'thanks' paid the bills... :)

.... or like some middle-eastern culture we look up to the sky and say:

Geocities was very popular place for websites in late 1994 with ample space for a website 2MB !

Actually very doable in some sense (or we made do) and shows how smaller scale works even if we wanted to add all the media in the world as it is now... we did personally what we could deal with (and not chew up the worlds energy and hardware to level now at the expense of land, water for heat cooling and other things geologically connected).

Discontinuing it disappeared in late 2009... so this was the story of someone copy the data and making of Reocities.com / Geocities.RestorativLand.org/
