Not virtue signalling here only, but practise of EVERYTHING as we go. Judged by getting in contact (many have) and having courage to communicate (or seeking it from others is ok, EVERYONE needs a bit of courage or hand-holding to make big personal changes). Who else is there for example if family doesn't understand?
Learning and watching can be good and staying out of people's way, BUT better is doing something every day and helping each other with some tough decisions / lessons... and then being bold enough to do them. 1... 2... 3 that is all that's needed.

FreeSchool is terminology put together from many good things from past (coined in 1950's/60's. I / we become it eventually through being.

I encourage you warmly to participate with me as a I have time and then spiral out naturally to others (we are part of humanity and so naturally a sort of evangelism or ecological pyramid of life as we choose to spread lesser suffering while accepting consuming is part of it).

Naturally you will hesitate if someone is sure of themself or ok standing on shoulders what we copy do the best from humbly but not too sterile either.
Based on just emotions ruins almost everything, which seems very common - very ungraceful - so don't disconnect... do it gracefully at least!
A "school" of thought is here you can interact / ask and make best together as free/low cost as possible.
Even a bad answer you can take best from (of course I won't know all your situation when I suggest something but I don't need to answer 100% - you also need to help me!).

(re-drafted) I like what sir_vito said... and then you get someone who also from similar sentiments find priority also to say otherwise. So it's true we weren't there and can't say anything helpful about what you went through... but I have to try rationalise or reclaim some logic or something (language isn't perfect) and perhaps I call it sanity right now that in the modern world this is the norm...
probably something to do with feeling the US conquest$ and overall what it and it's people are doing (the mentality, it's development of War, Manufacturing. Worldwide damage)... which isn't less than an individual dying... but this comment relates to that family aspect of it coming from that region ---> You have people basically signing up for war... What if all your existence is based on sin or consumption / being breed on it? (Not making this something extreme I really believe that's why). So if your who life was allowed by Petroleum then how to 'stop' using it now everything is based on it (including your job, getting there, the trainers on your feet, clothes you wear)... Honestly I think the fire thing is obvious but it's a slower less obvious siphoning of energy based on the foundation sins (ma$$ive BigOil) which we never saw or did ourself and even if we know / understand... what to do is the question right?

Guess a long trench could be good and then industrial plastic lining to keep it fairly watertight (even strongest stuff might get holes from plants though) - but I like the artificial stream idea (would be waste of ground but something thinner or even mini-river ! hmm kinda achieves and could manage that quite easily... even make a small dam etc! Could be a bucket width and bucket deep...

What if your existence is based on the original problems of BigOil / Petrol discovery / extraction and bullshit.... I mean specifically that if we are breed on it and wouldn't be able to have all this stuff then then doesn't it make impossible US (USA, US in world production based on petroleum products etc) to come out of that?
My idea is perhaps just to slow things down but that means just slowly dying mostly.
I really believe your whole life is almost allowed by Petroleum else you would be naked without it.

@rastinza I basically had the same thought and now I just work through pinging them all and create a rule like:
- if they don't respond after two messages then unfollow / don't consider serious
- just talk to those that reply and casually browse home timeline like you don't give a fuck and see if something comes up to msg someone about... but yep some scenarios that helps decide to unfollow or ignore is those:
- people don't reply
- people reply to others and not you (selective / secretive non-reply)
- who are just different / they are different / almost inactive
- too many to follow on your list unless you have some rules
- put 'notes' near their name (can add what you already covered etc)
- trust in "regular random" as paradox as that sounds but isn't.
But I agree too many posts or even too many to follow... happy to hear what you decide or what you go for since of course everyone is different / going for diff things.
In my case audio chat communication as a way of 'practising people' itself as the bonus of allowing ourselves to advertise to each other / share for those that can and if they can't... maybe later later for them.

@jalefkowit I agree about the "People Literacy" part, and probably a "Society Literacy" part (or community etc.).
At the same time we don't expect people to walk into a workshop without having some lessons in what tools do and how to use them safely, right?
But I suppose it depends on your view of the use of a computer. But no matter how simplified you make something, as far as I see, everything around us requires some training. It's fascinating watch my kiddo learn how to use things. :)
TLR;DR All people are needed (...above and below any line or margin)... So "both" is my answer! Yes!...

More people available means the range of simpleton to technical can be served in multiple ways (that they might not expect)... together! And this social glue or practise is what is less trained and just less visible (which we can make more visible and more a priority even as token gesture e.g 30mins per week with someone random like me or those even less measurable !).
People in the middle (not too simple or too entrenched in their work) are PERFECT to bridge both sides and without trying to convert anyone totally (just be yourself)... so the level below and above can still be "team-building" without trying to sound like we're all selling it to each other and while still being fun.
Less resistance is needed to giving away time (again just 30mins or 2x15mins with a random) just to let go about how much it's a waste of time or measuring time too purely... just "invested time" to share a it of perspective, to learn, explain, explore technical parts and prioritise practising the people practise no matter what the flavour. Either way both yin and yang are actually needed and part of the same whole that spins the other strange as that may seem!.

ANALOGY - SIMILAR TO SPORTS
In sports those in the middle CONSISTENTLY help those above and below their 'belt' for different types of training and IMPORTANTLY they have the TIME *and* MOTIVATION to enjoy being partners (to any level or belt)... to be test subjects for sparring with the experts (i.e how to be more human with more types of people as many experts stink when too competitive or specialist), or being patient with the newbies (increasing awareness to normies toward something more than they started with)...
Usually experts in sports have 0 time for the above or even less tolerance for them!
I guess this might equal to a developer not answering some messages (though many do answer a lot but let's face it it does to be 'selective' in answering of things though can get to a point where it's overly-selective answering to the point it's ignoring)
Planned time to chat to others lower than their belt even as a group helps people feel accepted and radiation / hope increased, otherwise almost opposite happens and distance is increased (or anger, frustration festers)... and unless people are sometimes *made* to "put in the time" (allocated even as token gesture to the scene like book signing events) then they will not do it (to their own detriment eventually).

For a movement to have all wheels rolling it needs everyone spinning the web around BigTech or BigIndustry to slow that stuff down AND ALSO SOCIALLY ATTACK with our strengths like annoying ants with a variety of abilities! But can't expect a few devs to do it all - that shouldn't be the way for a whole movement to change, logically it will need everyone so might as well start now the forever meetings and rotate people!
It's almost these micro-management things or opportunities which will eventually win and binds us together for rolling punches, and yeah also sometimes we want to a piece of respect to say " yeah I spoke to that person once and wasn't so bad even though we disagreed" so we are not be so polarised by lack of contact - just being heard - "He heard me at least and that was enough")
So that is how I think it work. I think I'm a black belt in this as it's not classically trained as job (I'm here for sharing, caring and WIN:WIN/WIN-ALL)
So there is not always a sport for sharing... instead call it "Sapience" to bypass these sporting metaphors. Sapience is what is going to kill off all other competitive, divisional, self-inflicting things as we will be much more aware what is the long-term goal and stronger as people to say no / yes to stuff while specialists can still do their thing. Yes would help if they showed up in the lower ranks... and giving time to lower ranks helps use spread it all but more consciously.
Feel free to use my stamina, motivation or ideas (so not everyone just me as a test)...
I'm sure some have appreciated it so here some measurable evidence to start your motivation... but remember people work (or even 'social engineering') is also not as visible as a web page or link (I'm a human, so do try the warmer human way first! I can respect boundaries, just not the text-only kind if you want a human movement to work for you and for themselves).

Judged by getting in contact (many have) and having courage to communicate (or seeking it from others is ok, EVERYONE needs a bit of courage or hand-holding to make big personal changes). Who else is there for example if family doesn't understand?
Learning and watching can be good and staying out of people's way, BUT better is doing something every day and helping each other with some tough decisions / lessons... and then being bold enough to do them. 1... 2... 3 that is all that's needed.

I'm usually impressed with my media gallery as I work on posts a lot usually or hit the "Aha!" moments and capture it (other people may forget it for years, not me!).
Freedom is about *making it work together* better like using #Mastodon on the #Fediverse daily for better platforms with more #bestpractices and 'best' people to help us which I kind of collect here and when it's #1 comment!

L£$$ of the less caring people like the ggl's / ytb / gmail / mainstream communication points etc who are offering lots of space 'free' and it's not free of peace there.
We GIVE to real people (TIME NOT JUST MONEY).
There's no buy-in solution - we have to make it with selotape or whatever we have - it's not shameful to bring whatever you have.
FreeSchool is terminology put together from many good things from past (coined in 1950's/60's. I / we become it eventually through being.

I encourage you warmly to participate with me as a I have time and then spiral out naturally to others (we are part of humanity and so naturally a sort of evangelism or ecological pyramid of life as we choose to spread lesser suffering while accepting consuming is part of it).
Less-commercial in orientation (in everything) and happy to think / work for free.
Naturally you will hesitate if someone is sure of themself or ok standing on shoulders what we copy do the best from humbly but not too sterile either.
Based on just emotions ruins almost everything, which seems very common - very ungraceful - so don't disconnect... do it gracefully at least!
A "school" of thought is here you can interact / ask and make best together as free/low cost as possible.
Even a bad answer you can take best from (of course I won't know all your situation when I suggest something but I don't need to answer 100% - you also need to help me!).
Leave perfectionism, we are all imperfect humans! Let's do it... Choose something ANYTHING and keep the thoughts rolling together...!
