Few thoughts from memory (none of these perfect and did read more after so no all applies):

█ Might not be broken, try more small tests before big moves... like
▄ e.g. Use a file copier that does a hash check after each file as a good indicator and checker, like TeraCopy http://codesector.com

█ Different SSD tools may show different values sometimes.
I remember some values seemingly showing bad or different in some way but were like that since forever or had some allowance / buffer or something different.
▄Another tool to check could be SSD-Z http://aezay.dk/ and see the differences

Again these comments + and -... might not have a big problem

█ and yes do backup regular (perhaps now) :)
▄ maybe to new disk so older backup copy you have still just in case newest backup is corrupt (which you would find out only at time of reading individual files later!).

█ That page reminds me of when I worked in complaints / customer care department and the had absolute pleasure of documenting complaints and sticking to all problems (of which people above tried to manage and manipulate around or actually solve from my detailed comments but including customer's rights indirectly usually got customer or other operator's the message that *this* is what we provide / should do usually and not gip them).

█ Some obviously are spam servers in themselves saying we're xyz but I don't mind them as they're kinda honest / clear what they are about.

@freemo @khird Most of this thread could go on a FAQ headed the same or as "Thinking of leaving?" as it makes leaving or staying clearer (I was thinking about leaving and did think more of misleading number count as you say. I will say I was thinking about leaving but did emotionally check because it's everyone and their overall level of shallow-only comms so more than jumping ship I knew to expect different somewhat but felt/feel like maybe I need to try something.

So it did help you responded. I wouldn't put down QOTO suddenly - just want more active participation or participatory projects, some imagination than building robots etc (which is probably considered extra - but shit I'll pay you to come on my podcast or chat privately for better human condition / educating humanity via interactivity!!)

@freemo Spam wasn't an issue as such (just saying). It was more that others may seem spam first.
I never saw it as major problem here, and even like reporting new accounts myself!
Hope your changes don't create new problems but yes sounds ok

Few positive points about Internet comments:

█ Dial-up - I believe was the right balance of speed and using it wisely (as the speed was the limit on the human who was new to it all, and now it's like our cup is too full and even experts ignorant... data spilling over everywhere being able to up/download 10 things at a time / gigs of video which is allowing suppliers to also drain the planet and our time being lost there). So ironic the biggest supplier might be called "Amazon" or "AWS" which backs a lot of internet purely as 'cheap' storage) as in chop down the trees 'Amazon' for data centres,

e,g, I have limited my internet living more eco and certainly I now pick and choose downloads a lot more or have to wait for things like it's Christmas tomorrow! Still binge but easier to catch myself.

█ We need also to learn how to counter and protect from commercial mentality in everything like before. Literally World War 1 & 2 mentality never went away 'suddenly' and just transferred to soft war (like tech including broadband in 2000's) which is better economy (profit) for governments / owners of citizens. Imagine how much we all paid for broadband and still do! Each town could have 1 wifi (or does but we all pay individually)(

And since Google Email being $9.99 per month then turning free and then near-unlimited space - you are also part of this drain (not all your fault but learning helps choices now).

START to FINISH we need communication done the right way and be more careful in every choice we make (terms and conditions we click) meaning we don't use them also and not pretending we don't know.. we have to act like they were never invented sometimes and not available to us morally.

█ "rose-tinted glasses" as @lauren said about yes but I'm not suppressing your framing too - all were good periods of creativity / pleasure and then up and downs... main thing is to expect and see banks and debt and governments for what they will now or later... and like making drones usually it's allowed and released for a reason (it's vetted and funding the whole thing even with 'neutral' looking access - under all now it's a lot more though about and less innocent than BBS days).

█ Yes BBS + dial-up modem were innocent. Telephone actually had advantages and nice limits... but again educating users is the MAIN TASK which people buying into broadband solved commercially as it was more of a hobby before and needed courage/knowledge.... Quite a decent attempt I'd say in terms of some parts of the art and presentation!

The infinite path using infinite symbol is pretty genius! (is their an infinite ASCII sign?)

Regardless of actual taste or me wanting to buy this (or not) I feel like this is yet another example of "how come they can get their shit together and collaborate to make this and not us as QOTO or individuals on something". So a a kind of jealousy (OMG that's weird),

Somehow a great balance of this kind of insanity and sanity that we're missing out on because at least they get their talents out - quite similar to the creativity and art found in lewd anime or spammers where they are actually kinda sincere or true to some art (drawing and perhaps porn or love for sex) but perhaps need better games to play.

Often people can be lost, discarded / disconnected so without judging hope for more attempts to hit the spot better... and even accepting the weird / strange (not necessarily buying it).

So what I'm saying is that we could imagine the possibilities like this example and even believe in things our selves... (and holy spirit included a bit!)...

TL;DR- A sort of "how come they can get it together and not us" :)
