HUMAN BEHAVIOUR (REPEATING THINGS)

Everyone is a repeater of sorts.

Instead of deflecting or avoid this, we should youse this (yes youse is a word I just made up to reflect we use ourselves mostly in this value system !)

Using our views is also measurably proven by the way the 'other people' can use it against us even when they are not interested and so I think we could use it for ourselves *a bit* more like *everyday*!

So even though big tech or whoever doesn't really care or sympathise with us, imagine if people can AND do funnel things between each other... !!!!
NOW THAT'S POWER!

(POWER powered by the people, for the people)

MORE DETAIL ABOUT WHY WE ARE REPEATERS UNDOUBTEDLY:
because it's
- coming from personal feeling / expression
- coming from advertising
- coming from virtue signalling / projecting certain qualities

LIFE CHOICES - CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY

QUESTION: What to do about people on Mastodon who answer some questions, even friendly or friends but then don't answer some specific questions (not even the worst but just don't even say why)

Basically while it seems 'needy' (going to call it myself)
it's really like every other person and considered normal so I MUST do something about it or face passive-[insert your word here like aggressive] or apathetic like which is pathetic frankly as if we can live and not talk or that it's not fascism the opposite polar sense that we ignore people.

Seems like pent up aggression or rage but it's not. You try living without any sort of reply (oh wait you probably know how that feels so appreciate some constructive comments on that for why nice people don't answer and even continue conversation in the next topics lol)

WHY IS SMALLER TECH MORE BEAUTIFUL OR FULFILLING?

ARAL BALKAN's SMALL-TECH
E.F. SCHUMACHER's Small IS BEAUTIFUL
FREESCHOOL's EDUCATION AS EVOLUTIONARY FREEDOM

What's the point of these things?

SHORT ANSWERS:
less politically mixed / more conventrated
less polluted with other tech / more specific
less trojan-horsed / more customisable / pick and choose

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL for these reasons!

* because you have more: CONTROL / QUALITY / APPRECIATION / PERSONAL RECIPROCATION / ALIGNMENT / MEANING / INDEPENDENCE / INDEPENDENT CHOICE (or less dependency more exactly)

THE ANSWER OVERALL TO THESE QUESTIONS of why is because of that list and control / choice we have overall...

IN ALL PARTS OF LIFE SMALLER INTERACTION (OR MORE PERSONAL) IS OFTEN BETTER / MORE BEAUTIFUL *TO THE INDIVIDUAL*

If you scale up you lose this critical point about individual satisfaction and hand-on direct control / customisation (that list would go here)

SUMMARY
So I think yes the basics of small respect the individual more, from in a small field for planting plants using your hands (low tech / low consumption), to setting up a small old computer for family (low foot-print technology)..

I have more to say and understand that BigTech has largely enabled us but it's not out of our hands completely and we can bend that for-profit-tree-of-life to something less profit orientated if we can solve the banking a bit more often in our transactions and interactions.

The *realisation* to the above is really key to why we like things in smaller / narrow ranges... *and then* the next stage is realising how to get out / reduce the big consumption based for-profit systems more often.

Bill Gates has bought perhaps half the agricultural land I heard and I think that is very telling of the way we need to also go while using bigtech and solving what it has provided us wastefully over 20-ish or 30ish short years more exponentially...

SENTIMENTS NEARER DEATH
WE GET MORE HONEST!

CONTRAST OF OUR HUMAN NATURE

Being sentimental or suddenly full of regret near to death is natural and probably hard to escape.

This post shows a bit about human nature; both as "It's ok to do these things / don't mind" and then nearer death "oh no what have I done / I should have done these really important things" but only when you've lost or losing something NOT before!

QUICK EXAMPLES FIRST:

Example 1.... being honest to self or others, only when you're dying or someone is leaving you.

Example 2... seeing what money is really worth, seeing in the end what's worth it when you can't hold on to it or it's worthless for health!

Example 3... not practising what you preach - not going for it (not enough courage or playing it too safe, maybe not even working on it)

(some of which is perfectly part of everything but some we might never learn part getting out / solving / doing right / taking upon ourselves instead of deflecting / getting out of a paradoxical human thing we spin into crash somehow anyway)

Example 4: 'Charlie Brown' comic strip:

Schulz was asked if, in his final Peanuts strip drawing if Charlie Brown would finally get to kick the football after so many decades (one recurring theme in Peanuts Comic was Charlie Brown's attempts to kick a football while Lucy was holding it, only to have Lucy pull it back at the last moment, causing him to fall on his back).

His response, "Oh, no. Definitely not. I couldn't have Charlie Brown kick that football; that would be a terrible disservice to him after nearly half a century."

BUT DURING HIS DEATH

But in a December 1999 interview, holding back tears, Schulz recounted the moment when he signed his final strip, saying, "All of a sudden I thought, 'You know, that poor, poor kid, he never even got to kick the football. What a dirty trick—he never had a chance to kick the football.'"

SUMMARY
So I think we can learn from this ahead of time.

While we're alive we don't want to give others much thought or be too real or maybe we're too precious over things rather than giving and even receiving freely...

People make silly games or go along with it like making people pay for our own respect 9we should all have ourself) or heroes that have to die or have something happen as part of a humankind as a sort of of click bait or hook to get them to see 'what happens next' as a psychological way to get people to keep reading... or find endearment / weakness etc.

In all fairness the Charlie Brown comic strip is tip of the story iceberg but simple and short enough to see people creating the misfortune designed (there is documentary about Marvel character templates for just this) otherwise possibly it wouldn't work somehow... much like how children like to see you fall or made a sad face when they take things from you and you say 'aww but I didn't get any cake' and the child smiles...
(adults too in more vicious ways)... kind of sick in a human 'normal' way...

Something about the human being makes people want to be high or low- not the middle

1. HERO high
or
2. SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY low

(some of which is perfectly part of everything but some we might never learn part getting out / solving / doing right / taking upon ourselves instead of deflecting / getting out of a paradoxical human thing we spin into crash somehow anyway)

Thought welcome.

INTRO / QUOTE:

"The internet has become a bloated mess. Massive JavaScript libraries, countless client-side queries and overly complex frontend frameworks are par for the course these days.

When popular website like The New York Times are over 15MB in size (nearly 50% of which is JavaScript!), you know there’s a problem. Why does any site need to be that huge? It’s crazy."

Try something different.

WATCHING A FILM SOON - FIRST MOVIE OR TWO THIS YEAR

I've watched clips and even mountain climbing 'movie' documentaries on yewtu.be/ but not an actual movie (as in hollywood or any cinema) in almost a year!!!!

I used to watch an insane amount which was kinda thinking I was learning but wasn't from best sources (Hollywood).

Within last few years maybe 10 / 20 max ! (I'm considering I've watched more because maybe memory is key in saying this so I'll over-guesstimate than sell you something sounding fantastic!!!)

So I celebrate the official "planning of a movie" stage now and watch it sometimes when I'm probably desperate!

WHY DID I STOP WATCHING MOVIES /
HOW CAN I WATCH LESS? (Tips)

1. I think it *really* helped when my all-in-1 way program for downloading AND searching 'broke' (Python requirements mismatch between version)
2. I also realised I don't have hard disk space so that made me delete stuff which I couldn't do well, thus I couldn't download new stuff!
3. I realised all the downloads I used to watch and popular / fast on download are ALL Hollywood and therefore they somewhat make me Hollywooden-out since it was just mostly cake for the mind and simply crap cake too.
Serving only time-kill time made me realise there is more if I out my mind to it, and I thought myself better so stopped watching movies as a result (small movies plenty if relative to what I watch or who I talk to... though but much more controlled and on topic- not 'just anything' kill-my-time however style!).

I hope I'm a better person for it if not horribly right and a non-hollywood destiny awaits me!

@freeschool my problem is with the appeal to authority. authority infringes my natural rights all the time without any right to do so. if someone believes he's right when low key threatening legal action, it's bullshit.

it's one thing if it regards the product of work "mastodon the software" - i can respect terms dictating use of that.

telling others what they can do on their own property - their domain and server - is morally corrupt (and laughable!) and does only work because there are racketeering operations called states who have an illegal monopoly on violence, using that violence to take away my natural freedom to do with my property as i please.

hell, if he'd nicely ask to use other domain names it would be more fruitful than threats.

MUTUALITY - RECIPROCAL LIFE

When people come back tired from work, if they see you doing work for them suddenly it's doesn't seem so bad or more a reciprocal life.

You could say it's like a circle ----> O instead of a one-way line (like working for corporations)

The motivation factor is total different when things are continuing and working for you (as you work for them).

SUMMARY
There is far less de-motivation and depression if people can give / allow other things to do for others.

(If you have anything just let me know even though this was a general comment)
