John and Mary Faed of Barlay Mill in Gatehouse had 6 children, 5 of whom were were talented artists who had paintings at the Royal Society in London. Susan was their only daughter, and a highly talented artist too, but rather than work as an artist, she looked after her mother for most of her life. Still, she had a number of paintings hung in the Royal Societies in London and Edinburgh.

I love listening to and making #music. My first career was as a professional musician. I have kept up my chops as best I can, and I make music for me now. The pay is better - if you value personal satisfaction above all else. I will talk about it. A lot. I've slowed down a bit and mostly only play #bass, #guitar, #keyboard, #IrishBouzouki, and #ocarina now. No, I won't play #Zelda tunes for you.
